Please be honest,how BAD is the public transport in Orlando?

Yeah, it's farther down the road...past Crossroads, past Olive Garden and just past Sizzler. There is no bus to get you there and it is kinda far to walk...even from Crossroads. You're better off walking to Publix and taking the not even $5 cab ride home if you buy a lot.

i can beat u on that for chicken - there is a new super walmart up on the top of us 27 (15mins from disney) that does sounthern fried chicken piece (breadcrumed stuff) but with a goney bbq glaze on them - o sticky but so yummy and it doesnt make a difference if they are hot or cold! ;D

THIS IS CRAZY!!!!! All this talk about good food places kinda makes me want to go down to Disney just to EAT!!!! ;D Has anyone heard of the freshmen 15? It usally occurs in your first year of university because you are new to the environment and so busy that you gain 15 pounds from not eating properly and always eating fast food :-[ That is what is going to happen to me AGAIN once I get down there :'( Oh well, it will be worth all those yummy breadsticks at the Olive Graden!!!
I have heard of Target but never been there. Would you say it's better, worse or just as good as Wal-Mart? ??? Gotta luv Wal-MArt, I swear I single-handly keep the company in business hear in Montreal

Target, so much better than anywhere else in my opinion........ although i was a fan of buying all my fresh fruit and veg from publix, u couldnt beat their prices for that and it was better quality than anywhere else!

That is true - THANK GOD!! there is a gym and pool at the commons. I will have to go EVERYDAY 'cause I will be eating out so much I am trying to lose weight before going to Disney, it will be sad to gain it back :'(
Are target and wal-mart close to each other?

 

as was said in the weight gain post..........stop worrying about putting on weight, just lose a little before u go if u feel u need to and then just enjoy urselves over there, ur gonna get tanned and fat always looks better tanned i say!!

well if u have a car or a friend has a car and u go to the walmart that is south of the commons (cannot remember the name of the road, but it is just as scuzzy as international drive and it is the road that medieval times is on) then on that road a new target has been opened along there so theyre pretty close but u need a car, u could not at all walk it as its nota walkable road, it would be like trying to walk on the M25!!! yeh exactly!!!

as for the walmart that the dynamic bus goes to, no thats not near a target either........ but the walmart that the bus goes to does have a dennys there and a beals clothes store and hair cuttery and dollar tree and some other random stores....oooohhh and a pet store where u can go see cats and dogs and stuff!

i was w8n for sum1 2 mention the outbakc its like heaven in ahut that brown red...oh my god! so FIT and we always got an extra onion to take bak to the villa lol mmmmm

 

this is nuts... i'm amazed at everything... i'm so excited to go to florida and eat... renting a car sounds like a good idea, but a cab/taxi sounds good too... 5 bucks here and there isn't that much...

Question for those there, or who know the answer... sara, you really do know a lot.... the public bus system, is it safe?... and if you get to the wal mart, you can connect to the public bus system from there, right?

wen you use the disney provided transport it is a company called dynamic and its pretty crappy, like most of the busses smell like shit...... and sometimes wen u go roudna bend u think the bus might tip over but it really wont! but they are fairly sturdy nevertheless and theyre free to use with ur Commons I.D so make the most of them!

if u get on the H bus to Walmart (although the letter may have changed now) then once u get to walmart u could order a cab tot ake u to the florida mall (as its close to there but def not walkable!), instead of taking the hour journey up from the premium outlet on the I-ride trolley bus........ but i quite enjoyed playing "spot the scuzzer" on the i-ride trolleys, if anyone is not entirely sure wat a scuzzer is then ask! lol there is no public bus service running from walmart u can get there by taxi by car or by the dynamic busses that disney provide.

orlando public transport is safe, mostly cos all the time there are loads of tourists around so it has to be safe u know?

although i remember one really random time where me and a friend went on the i-ride trolley link bus thing (the number 62) to florida mall and on way back it was dark and pissing it down badly and thunder and lightening and this real drunk guy came on and started shouting at people and then he crashed on the floor and was like paralytic but the drive was shoutin out, get off my bus or i throw u off, and so he ended up stopping the bus in middle of I-drive and opening the door and then him and some other big guy picked this guy up and threw him out on the grass and left him there for the cops to find!! looking back it coulda been a worse situation but we pissed ourselves at the time!!
