I've booked 11:30 on monday morning with Nick. Eeeek now to go swot up on everything, i have this long list of past questions i've seen from blogs and now i'm bullet pointing things. I'm so nervous already.
You'll be fine, try not to get too nervous. When you answer questions they might not respond straight away, but that's because they're writing things down. To be honest, it's just like a normal phone call, they're all so friendly
I purposely had mine in the afternoon, around 3pm I think, because my sleeping pattern is bad, and I was worried that if I had a rubbish night sleep I'd wake up just before my interview. It depends on your routine really ;D
Got mine on monday at half 2 with Amy, I tried to get it friday but when i finally learnt what my telephone number was the dates had gone, so more worrying and panicking over the weekend, great! ;D
Just a tip, be careful not to over prepare. You don't want it to sound like you are reading a script. I just knew what questions they could ask and just had an idea in my head as to what I would say in response to them. I didn't have any notes during my phone interview I just walked around my living room squeezing a stress ball (the reason behind that being, that 2 minutes before my interview time my nan phoned, so I had to try and get her off the phone. Haha. Boy was my heart pounding after that!) But yeah, just relax and don't rely on your notes too much- they want it to sound natural. The Yummy team are all really nice, and they're not looking to catch you out or anything. They just want to get an idea of what you are like and why you want to do the program.
Arrgh I'm abit worried about mine too - just the being put on the spot and not having an answer ready! also slightly concerned as i have a tattoo on my inner wrist the size of a 5p...obviously cant lie about it, so will have to say on the phone interview - just worried that will ruin my chances! its easily covered up though! Mine is with Chloe - wonder how many people they are doing phone interviews for, and how many get through? Also presume this wil be for starting next summer? not actually sure! xx
Last round of applications, 300 people were offered phone interviews. And 120 of us were offered places at the f2f interview. Best thing would be to ask during your phone interview the period of time they are recruiting for. Normally they tell you without you having to ask because they want to know your availability. Also, tattoo on your wrist probs means you won't be able to work in food and beverage (don't take my word on this though) as you can't wear make up or a watch to cover it up. You could still work in merchandise though, so they would still consider you for that role.
I've just watched the youtube video and it really is super helpful. Is there any other questions that pop up or is it just usually the ones she listed?
Hi everyone, Ive got my phone interview on Monday at 9.45am. Really excited for it. That Vlog did really help me. Does anyone know if sucessful when will we be going out?
Can I ask someone who has there interview in the next couple of days to enquire about the dates they are recruiting for? Its confusing me there seems to be so many contradicting statements, id like to know what they say. Thanks
Hey guys, had to post! i've been lurking this forum for weeks now! haha Just booked my phone interview for next wednesday so going to be doing a lot of research in the meantime! also, just a couple of questions if anyone knows: - How many people do they actually recruit at the end of all of the interviews? - If you're successful with the phone interview is it then just one face 2 face interview or another after that? Thanks and good luck to you all!!
Hi no clue on the first q, but its only one f2f you need to attend. Also my last post should read their not there, stupid blooming phone. And cant modify it as im on this phone, again stupid phone
My interview is tomorrow (well, I guess today now ...). It's confusing me too, so hopefully Nick will tell me. If not, I'll try and remember to ask. No guarantees, though - I may be too 'in the moment' to remember!
Hey, welcome to the forums! I think I've read somewhere that in the last round of applications, around 80 people were accepted, after about 140 getting through to the F2F interviews. Anyone - feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, though! And as disney-dude said, it's just the one F2F if you're successful in the phone interview.
Last round of apps. 300 people got phone interviews, then 120 of us got f2f's. We don't know the exact number of people who got a date straight away because they extended the period of time they gave out dates. We were applying for dates between feb-june but they extended them to sept. Oh, and good luck with your interview!
I love this forum, it's so mega helpful and reassuring to hear other people's nerves and advice. A massive good luck to everyone with their phone interviews! xxx
