Phone Interview........

i just had my interview today, i think it went well ???
i just hope we find out really soon, i had hannah too and she said we will all find out at the end of this month/ beginning of next, and then the f2f is in novemeber, aaah so excited!!

FINALLY I got the phone interview email!
Wednesday at 10am, with Becky Walton.
Not too long to wait, but long enough to prepare again I think!
So stressed with work though... ach I got through it last year, hopefully I can again!

Good luck to everyone who's not had theirs yet! But honestly, there's nothing to worry about and it's really laid back. I was worried that I was going to get a question asking to give an example of when I used my initiative or something like that, I really hate those, but it was nothing like that.

According to hannah, there's about 500 phone interviews to do! So I reckon we'll be waiting until well after the end of this month.

 

Ahh, i've got mine tomorrow morning! I'll be at uni, so hopefully i'll hear my phone if i'm in the workshop... hmm. Haha. Don't remember it being too bad last year, but i hate talking on phones

Hannah told me too! 500 telephone interviews, auch! that's 500 x 5 = 2500 minutes or 41 hours of talking. That will be a nice telephone bill!

Has anyone else been told that the June 20th start date will have very limited slots available? It's the only start date I'm available so I really hope I've misunderstood Hannah! I didn't ask her because I just realised this thing after the interview.

 

the last start date (june 20th) always has limited availability because most peoples uni timetables wont allow them to go until that day because there is few that finish in may and early june so the last date is always over-subscribed....

basically if its the only one you can do then fine, but if you can do one of the others but you'd prefer to do the last one...you probably will get offered the earlier ones....

 

yay i just applied! so i shudnt be expecting an interview anytime soon tho right lol im gunna go for the june 1st date x

 

I fiiinally had my email today!! Mine's tomorrow at 2pm with Marloes ;D Has anyone else been interviews by her before? I'm getting nervous now, but hopefully it'll be ok

I'm kind of nervous now, but not too much time to be! Far too much to do! (So shouldn't be on here.... shhh! )

Laura - I'm sure you will not only hear your phone, but will do brilliantly - remember all the good times!
I hate talking on the phone too.... just remember to smile! And sound confident, even if you aren't!
In the really unlikely event that they ask you ANYTHING hard/you don't know the answer to, say something like "that's a good question" or "can I have a moment to think?" - sounds much better than ummmmm!

Hiiiiiiiiiiiiii, I'm new here and I just recieved the email for phone interviews. I've chosen Friday at 10am. I have it with Becky, did anyone else have her yet?
I'm quite nervous as I've not been good in interviews in the past and I'm completely surprised I even got through to this stage as I thought my CV was absolutely shocking! LOL.
So does anyone know what sort of questions they will ask?
I've actually been looking on this site for a while now but have been holding back posting on here as I couldn't stand the pain of not getting through and everyone else getting in! Lol ;D

Yes, it's a very common female name here in the Netherlands. I think she is Dutch.

Not any difficult ones. They will check your information (university, course and stuff) and ask some other questions. The most important question will be why you want to work at Walt Disney World. I have my phone interview on thursday morning at 10am with Hannah.

 

i have mine 2morrow at 4.30 should be fine not worried.

 

I have mine in around 12 hours time. Im actually not gonna be able to sleep. im getting so nervous :-\
Im doing my best to prepare and all my flatmates are asking me questions all the time about random disney stuff and testing me so im trying my best to prepare and i know im just going to get tounge tied, say ummmm alot, and muck up

OK... just had my interview!
Becky is really nice, for anyone who has her!
It is just an informal chat!

I had to confirm my uni, my name, my course (did I enjoy it?), what year was I in (when I said I would graduate she said did I know I would miss graduation, was I OK with that?), she remarked I had done it before, and a lot of the questions were centered around that!
I got asked what I would do if I was in a restaurant and the customer didn't like their meal (same question as last year lol! and working in QS over the summer, kind of obvious!), did I ever get bored at work, how well did I get on with the other cast members over the summer, what was the biggest change I had to adapt to, did I cope with the heat, did I mind sharing a room, did I have any tattoos or body peircings, would I mind working 60 hour weeks, 6 days a week?
And of course, why do I want to work for Disney? (Blabbed something about loving the magic there, everyone being helpful, loved visiting it, best time last summer being part of it, meeting so many great people, wanted to experience again.....)
Start dates are: May 2nd(?), May 25th, June 1st/3rd (I forget), June 20th - which will be oversubscirbed due to unis, but doesn't mean we won't be considered!
If we get f2fs, they will be in Liverpool, Birmingham, Aberdeen or London (I asked!).
