Was it the 7th June? Then maybe about the 24th May??? Can't really remember but my uni finishes quite late so even the 21st Jnue is going to be tight! I'm from Durham but will be starting a history degree at the University of York on 13th Oct. I can't wait to go and I wish I started sooner :-\ All my friends are starting next week! I've been to WDW too many times ;D probably 9 or 10 visits since I was little. The last time was this summer, and I didn't want to leave, so getting a job there seemed a perfect solution for next summer! I've also been to DLP a couple of times, and it's good but just not the same as WDW!
Ive never been to DLP, and thanks for your help. i would go 24th May but my exam diet doesnt finish til the 27th, and i would take the 7th but i might have to go out the 21st if i had to wait for my exam results, which i would unless i would be able to get home for the resits. i dont want to think like this but i need to know. I want to go DLP at christmas but i cant get it off work and cnt afford it!
Florida totally ruined Paris for me, it can't even compare! But Disney is Disney, so long as I get to go I don't mind much where it is And Nikiolola, I don't think it's possible to go to WDW too many times!!
Going to the Disney store here is exciting enough for me, its just a massive contract when you walk back onto Glasgow city centre
The Disney Store is something toootally different, but so totally amazing!! I love going in there, especially the huge pile of teddies in front of the TV. It's always so tempting to take out one of the bottom ones...! I think it's a shame there isn't much clothes for "big kids", I love Disney clothes but I don't fit in kid sizes!!
Ye, i bought a disney top out of river island, and it has the Disney logo and everything on it, Disney River Island i think its called, i think they sell a few things. More for women.
Ooh really? I don't have a River Island nearby I don't think...I just have to go to the Disney parks more often I think! Sooo much womens clothing! I found Walmart was also really good (I went to Iowa last month), lots of great Disney stuff, especially handbags (which I'm sure you'd find fascinatingly interesting )
Oh ye, of course :-\ I think i will buy some disney tops next year when i go. The clothes are awesome. I also want something for my car.
I have loads of Tinkerbell tops, a tinkerbell handbag, a fair few pins, Mickey, Peter Pan and Tinkerbell earrings, not sure what else! Get the feeling I like the Peter Pan film? I also have two different Disney aerial toppers. Nothing else Disney for my car yet though (just realised, and it's terrible!). I have 2 stickers though, one for in the window that says something like "Little Princess On Board" and one for the back of the car saying "Powered By Pixie Dust", oh and Hello Kitty seat covers!
Hello Kitty? Thats not disney! I have disney firgurines, i have a mickey ornament and a tinkerbell ornament (which is my mums) i have a mickey golf classic figurine, a goofy basketball figurine and a mickey skateboard figurine. They are awesome, i also have a WDW disney frame, my mickey top hat, safari hat with all my disney pins on it. I also have a simpsons clock which i am very proud of.
I know, it's dreadful! But for my 17th birthday my friend got me a blue steering wheel cover, and my mum could only find Hello Kitty that did seat covers in blue!! I don't have many figurines, I always worry I won't get them back home safely, or I'll knock them off my shelves or something! Thinking about it I don't think I have MUCH Disney stuff in my room (other than clothes), and it's an absolutely shocking state of affairs! I'll have to do something about this ASAP. Though I think most of my Disney stuff is things like clothes, shoes (Tink flip-flops!), jewellery, mugs, bags, pins. Accessories rather than decorations, so maybe it's not so bad...hmm. Either way I'll be buying lots of stuff if I get the job!!!
The thing i love most about the disney stuff is it is very nice and subtle of disney logo, not tacky looking at all. One thing my mum and auntie are very impressed by is the excellent christmas decorations, they bought a lot between them last year. The mickey and goofy figurines are not ornamental, they are statues, but i am not sure their proper name, lol. I want some more disney clothes, do you get ICP hoodies if you are on the program?
I hope so, I have quite a hoody collection going on!! Would love to add to it! Oh yeah, my favourite Disney t-shirt is the part out-line of tinkerbell in diamante, it's so lovely and subtle. I'd love it more if it was a strappy top, but I can overlook that!!
i chose to have mine on the 26th sept to give me time to sort out my 2nd yr of uni and the mess from the last year of palceement which didn't quite go to plan, I'm Jane from just outside Leeds (Pudsey as in the bear) and am about to start on my 2nd yr of study (3rd yr of the course) at Leeds Met doing a International Tourism Management degree have only been to the US once at the end of my a levels in 2006 (went as a free child at 18 even better) but have been to dlrp 3 times once for the day as part of a school trip and twice with my parent staying in the chayanne the 1st time and the squaire the 2nd
so i totally missed kristen's call this morning since i was at the grocery store! i e-mailed and asked for thursday and friday morning so hopefully those days work! to introduce myself, i'm ariella from sudbury, ontario canada. i'm studying theatre at dalhousie university in halifax, nova scotia which is pretty good preparation for being far away from your family for long periods of time! i'm in my third year of my degree. i've been to disney world about three times and just came back from there a month ago. i love it there so much and would love to be part of the disney team obviously! i hope everyone who had their phone interviews today did well, it would be awesome if all of us got through! i'm so nervous for this interview even though i know its an informal chat lol!
PHEW!! I've just had my interview, Lucca is really nice everyone! One question I was asked that no-one else seems to have been is "If you are working in a restaurant and a customer did not enjoy their meal, what would you do?" And for anyone whose wondering, the arrival dates she offered were May 26th, June 2nd and June 21st. Even though I had a sore throat, she was lovely, and even offered to have it another time if I wanted. Glad it's over now though, (the most scary time was the 2 minutes before she phoned when I thought 'what if?...') Anyway - GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!!!!!!!! Now just got to wait 3 weeks.... xx PS - I wasn't asked my uni course? Is this a problem do you think?.... xx
Yay you can breathe a big sigh of relief with the rest of us now who've had them! lol I agree it was definately most scarey in the minutes leading up to the phone call. I wasn't asked my uni course either. I can't imagine it matters and I guess you've probably put it on your CV anyway so they'll be able to find out what it is if they really want to!
How odd, seems to be a couple of random questions being asked. Keeping us on our toes maybe?! I don't know why she didn't ask, maybe she forgot, or did you make it clear in your CV what it was or something? I put mine in there but not a "I'M DOING PSYCHOLOGY" type thing. Or maybe it was just a vague conversational thing and it wasn't relevant to yours? Whatever the reason I'm sure it'll be fine So long as you're AT uni it doesn't matter what course I guess!
I'm having a panic now!! I cant remember what my random question was..or what i answered...or if i answered it correctly. balls. ooooh no...now the waits going to be worse. Im a really big eeyore fan! I have a 25" cuddly eeyore i had to bring back on the plane!! haha. that was fun. i have loads of eeyore toys, pens, ornaments, photo things etc. hes soooo awesome!!
Phew! Panic over - I HAVE MY INTERVIEW!!!!!!!! WHoop whoop!!!!!!! Hopefully Thursday but I just got the email so they'll probably email me back tomorrow with the deets. Hey I'm Kirsty from England starting to study Law with American Law at the University of East Anglia from Monday. As you can probably tell from my course I adore America and of course Florida as I've been to WDW 5 times and WDL twice. I really want to work in either MGM or Magic Kingdom and have a tonne of stuff which I've brought over, my favourite being my tinkerbell snowglobe which I thought was expensive at the time but im so happy i got. Sorry for being a bit depressive earlier - I was just really nervous and being a tad melodramatic. hehe 'doh xxxx
