Phone Interview

oooh - mines at 10.15 tomorrow morning
getting nervous now - i've finished work for the day, so now nothing really to do but brood...........
this might be a silly question, but do they call you or you call them? and do you think they'd call back if the line was busy? cos my dad works from home and is on the phone a lot!

They call you, and they email to check your contact number. Would you be able to give them a mobile number instead, as a just in case? Or ask your dad to not be on the phone then? It's literally only 10 minutes long, would that affect him greatly?

 

I can't give them a mobile as I live in the middle of nowehere, so there isn't a signal!
It shouldn't affect him too greatly as it's short, I'll just have to steal the phone I suppose!

Ah yeah I had the same problem, I was so glad they checked what number to ring, I was quite worried they might try ringing my mobile!

 

I said 10 and that I'm not being big-headed but I'm just very laid back and never have a problem with anybody ever. When I saw the question on here before my interview I wondered about saying 9 or something, but then I thought about it and decided 10 was the honest truth, no matter how daft it sounds!

I also got asked if I ever get bored at work. I forgot about that one!

Forgot to say - well done everybody who has had one and good luck to those who havn't! Everybody seems lovely on here so I'm sure we'll all get through!

And i said 9 or 10, i was like i get on with everyone i work with cos its true lol! i was like obv you dont get on with everybody but i always try!! Spesh as we're all going there for the same reasons so must have loads in common already!

oh god, starting to panic!! i need to do my dissertation in these three weeks, stop me from thinking about it all. so excited...really all i think about.

Wheres everyone from?! and has everyone been to disney before!? (florida one)

I'm from Scotland, i have my phone interview at 10am on friday 19th sept. i cant wait for it, im very nervous. btw what were the other departure dates, did they tell you time you would return if you took the certain dates?

What did use say when they asked "do you get bored at work?"? I would say 10 out of 10 but that is true, i get along with everyone in my work and if someone doesnt then i try my best to get along with them. But i only work with 6 other people.

 

i don't think it matters how many people you work with, just give them the impression that you can get along with most people whether you like them or not.

i'm charlotte btw, i live in luton but i'm going into my second yr at loughborough uni. i've been to WDW four times - 2004/5/6 and also went last month and DLP once. my phone interview is next monday at 1130, i'm sooo excited about all of this!! it sounds like the summer job of my dreams!!!!

 

Ive been to WDW 2005 and 2007. Only went to one park in 2005 though. This is my dream to go to Disney. But dont want to over intise that in my phone interview, that may be off putting. I just need to think positive!

 

i know what you mean although i read a post on here saying that if you've been before then it's good to talk about your experiences. so...i'm not sure what i'll say about that!!

 

Okie, Well...I'm Gina, and i'm from Winchester.

I've been to WDW since i was 8/9, and about 6 or so times maybe a few more. I love it sooooo much! hehe! I've also been the Disneyland paris one at Xmas, was lovely

Oh yeah, I'm at the university of gloucestershire, going into my third year studying Broadcast Journalism.

Ok - for the people who may not have read before, I'm Katie and I'm from a tiny village near York.
I'm about to go into my second year at Lancaster Uni doing Earth and Environmental Science.
I've been to Walt Disney World quite a few times, as my parents own a timeshare nearby, but I've wanted to work there for aaaaages!
I've been to DLP twice with friends too, but its not as good as Florida!
I really want to work there next summer, but I suppose it's up to them!
Only 15 and a half hours to go now .... :-\

Don't worry about that, as long as you think positive and speak fine it will be ok. If you can talk and a hold a phone, there should be no problem, lol.

I'm also Charlotte, I'm over in Lincolnshire but I'm at university over in Bangor, Wales. So that was a good example of change, that I've been living 4 hours away from home for the past year!

I've been to DLP almost every year since it opened in '92, and I've been to WDW 3 times (my mum and bro go in a couple of weeks WITHOUT ME! I'm totally gutted, who needs a degree when you can go to Disney?!? ).

I've decided I would LOOOOVE to work over in MGM (now named Hollywood apparently) as mum recently told me that it opened on my birthday May 1st 1989! I thought that was pretty cool As is the fact that DLP is EXACTLY 2 years older than my sister!

 

btw can use remember what the other departure dates were?

 

Oh yeah I knew there was somethign else I was meant to be replying to! I'm afraid I don't remember, I think it was probably mid-May, beginning(ish) of June and 21st June, past that I can't be any more specific

 

och its fine, did they say any ending dates. cos if i fail my exams i have resits in august, do they have ways around for us to work them out or do we just not go on the program if we need to resit at uni?

 

Nope, just asking what start date we want.
