it's weird that they would change it on the website though. I hope they do keep the edinburgh ones coz it gives me a backup plan tell us tell us tell us now!
i emailed asking about london dates cos I may have problems, and I've not heard anything back! so I'd go with no they're probably REALLY busy with all the CRP interviews!
it must be pretty difficult for them to organise them, when you think about the amount of people they have to sort out. And it's even harder for ICP coz of all the different locations etc. I'm tempted to email coz I really need to know soon, but then I guess we all do for different reasons!!
Its a shame that they seem to have taken the Edinburgh one away. That would have been perfect for me : The last time I had an interview, it was up in Aberdeen and I had to head up the night before and stay over. In some ways I think the interviewer from Disney was quite impressed that I had taken the time and effort to make it to the interview. The interviews are nothing to worry about by the way. I think I got a hell of a lot more stressed about the phone interview (got mine tomorrow!) and you'll walk out and think - was that it? Anyway, before I go on and on and on about other things, my name is Mhairi. I'm 21 and in my third and final year at the Univeristy of Stirling studying Politics. I wasnt planning on doing the ICP again (was out there in 2006) but they've changed the conditions for the Graduate programme so this is one of two chances I have to get back to work at WDW. I'm hoping to join you all at the F2F stage but we'll see how things go tomorrow. I hate talking on the phone sometimes so a telephone interview is my worst nightmare. They accepted me once before though, and boy did I mess up that phone interview, so I'm hoping they'll have me back. Not sure what I want to do this time round. Was a deep water life guard the last time but I'd rather do something different. Someone mentioned the Safari's? My friend/flatmate did that the last time round and I would have loved to have had her job. Does anyone who has done this before think that the interview is an important factor as to where they place you? My friend who did the Safari's told the interviewer she liked to get out in the country for walks, nature and stuff. I think they even asked if she had any allergies. One of the other girls I stayed with told her interviewer about her love of films and history and she was given a job on the Great Movie Ride.
oohh i will have to say that as i do love films and history. watched alien for the first time last weekend. it was rather funny, especially as i have seen spaceballs. are there forms you have to fill in for health stuff? cos im worried they will turn me down for health reasons.
omigod I hope there isn't health questions! What I have is so hard to explain to someone who has never heard of it before, and it affects each person differently.
I cant remember any health forms. For lifeguarding you have to have a simple eyetest, and they ask if you have any problems with your balance but that was it as far as I can remember. You do have to get health insurance, but you'd have to get that for a normal holiday anyway so if you have no problems with that then I dont see you having any problems.
THERE IS NO INTERVIEW IN EDINBURGH ANYMORE, ITS ABERDEEN :'( Oh well it means i can go see my friend fiona whos up there. Hi Mhairi, I'm leom and i go to Glasgow Caledonian University studying Microbiology. So will you be going to Aberdeen this year then?
Hey Leom If I get through my phone interview tomorrow, I shall definately be at the Aberdeen interviews. I study in Stirling but live in Edinburgh, so the original Edinburgh interviews would have been perfect. Looks like I'll have to spend a night up in Aberdeen :-\
My mum and dad are taking me up, were just driving, im sure youll do great in your phone interview. It would be great to meet you in Aberdeen, nice to meet people from the forum!
I had my phone interview yesterday, it was only 5 minutes long which worries me as everyone elses says theirs were 10mins. Find out in two weeks :-( Not nice waiting lol x
i'm sure you did great and we know all about waiting! It's horrible! If it makes you feel better my phone interview was over in a flash, hardly knew what I was saying and then it was over
mine only lasted ten minutes cos the line was bad and i kept having to ask him to repeat the question! i hope the wait isnt as long for you as it was for us.
Mines was quite quick, i dont remember how long it was but it was roughly between 5 and 10 minutes. dont worry about the time, you may just have been quick at giving answers, i stuttered at some of mine, hehe.
I finally had my phone interview yesterday and it lasted about 5 mins, so really short! I also got an email yesterday afternoon stating I'm invited to the F2F interviews! I'm so excited! So I just want to thank you all on here for posting all your tips and example questions! They were extremely helpful. Hopefully we'll all be at WDW together next summer!
For anyone coming to London you're always welcome to crash on my sofa! Don't know how comfortable it'd before the interview though!
Nah, 10, cos i like some space around me, lmao. Anyone can crash on my couch aswell if you come up to scotland for a visit, its like a double bed when you take the massive pillows off it, and a comfortable sleep aswell. I have slept on it! Good luck for your f2f and congratz aswell!
