Phone Interview

I hear u sister - maybe she just doesn't like the thought of not seeing you for a while and has a touch of the green eyed monster's inc. Sometimes people just have an 'off' day though as well. I really wouldn't be upset about it as chances are she didn't think about what consequences her actions would have on you. People can be incredibly thoughtless unfortunately.

 

Ye, people can, it could have been anger in the moment and just didnt know what to say or didnt think of how much it meant to you, being quite selfish maybe!

 

yeah you guys are probably right. things havent been right for a while so maybe i just need to let her cool off and not mention it while around her, which i know i shouldnt have to do but oh well.

enough of that. we may hear in five days!

 

I'm counting down the days. As far as I'm concerned, this is something I'm doing for me, so booo to anyone who doesn't think it's a good idea or tells me to 'wait until next year'. Who knows what could happen before then, so why wait?

i just got an email from Kristen and it seems like the Canadian interviews are beginning. the first is at Montreal in Oct 30th but i think i'll probably go to the one at Toronto though Montreal isn't that far away. i just have too many midterms and assignments due then.

 

OMG i hope the face to face interviews arent on days i have tests that is if i get an interview cos i would die, but maybe i could go before or after the test!

oooh I might go to Birmingham to see my friend who's there at Uni and do some christmas shopping!! Depends on the dates though I guess, I know I have a french exam at the end of term that I'll have to study hard for. But I would love to go the the disney office in hammersmith. Assuming I actually get the interview. We'll see!!

OMG Mint are you serious??? That would be AMAZING for me! It's only 1.5 hours roughly from where I am now! (Ottawa)... But do any of you think I'd still have a change to get an interview by that date? I'm still waiting for a phone interview :-\

 

yeah i am! if you want to see the email PM me your email add, i'll email it to you? oh yeah i kind of forgot that Montreal is nearer to Ottawa (haha 8 months in Canada hasn't made me a more informed Canadian ). i'm definitely not going to make it for Montreal though, i have a class that day & a quiz though i would really, really love to visit Montreal too ...

i'm pretty sure you still have time. have you gotten the email about the phone interview yet/are you just waiting for her to call?

 

i got a call today from michelle asking to set up a phone interview....i asked her whether i needed a second one and it turns out they thought i hadnt had one. though she looked into and it is registered that i have had one. i cant talk today as my thrat is all blargh so it sounded like a had just crawled out of bed. she said at the end i could go back to bed! i hope that doesnt put off a bad image!

 

i wouldn't worry too much. she just jumped to conclusions

Oh dear it looks like annnnnnother couple of months to wait if I get a f2f interview because London is the only place I can go
Also I have major projects I need to do over Christmas for uni! :'(

Mint-Ya, I'm in the same boat. Even though Montreal is closer to Halifax than Toronto, that week I have a term paper due, two oral presentations, and my normal 3 weekly writing assignments due. Plus, I just bought my plane ticket to go home for Christmas so I can't afford another plane ticket right now. It would be nice to get it over with since I'm assuming you would find out before the end of the year but I guess I'll have to wait until the spring! I'm so curious to know when the Toronto interviews are.

 

If the london interviews at in december i cant do them if they're before the 14th rubbbbish. I really wanted to go the headquarters too and spend a day in london, but looks like i may end up doing Birmingham as i'm closer at uni. But we dont know til monday ! i hate this waiting game.

 

Awww i was hoping they would do one in Glasgow! Oh well, October is now, woohoo! I hope i get a face to face interview.
