Phone Interview

The form they get you to get your tutors to sign are just to confirm that you are a student at the university, and that the university you go to is actually a university...yeah i know :s . Those have to be letters from the uni (ie with the uni letterhead) and you just have to get any member of uni staff to sign them and yummy dont check up on the letters or anything. They also give you a form where the member of staff has to confirm the term dates though don't worry if youre going before your term finishes cos you could just put a note at the bottom saying that you have permission to leave early or that your course finishes by then. They then have to stamp it with a university stamp and sign it. Its easy!

I have told me academic advisor and she is very happy for me to go, there is no problem as long as i pass all my exams!

 

i havent mentioned it yet, but i want to mention it when i get my F2F.

 

I mentioned it cos i wanted to know what she thought of it and she was totally fine with it and just so she knows that i do have motivation to do well this year.

 

Mint-Ya, reading week here is weird too. Mine isn't right until the end of february/beginning of march. My family only wants me coming home for Christmas (I'm coming home for Thanksgiving this year and they are not happy lol!) since I'm so far so if the Disney interview is the same time as my break I have an excuse to come home lol! I swear since I had my phone interview Disney has been everywhere! It makes me way too excited.

Anita-Good luck . The whole process was really fast for me: I sent my resume in on Sept 1st, heard I had a phone interview on the 10th, had my phone interview on the 18th, and found out I had a face to face on the 23rd so hopefully it goes the same for you! Yes, it would be awesome if we all made it through! I'm so glad I've found a group of people who love Disney as much as me, I think my friends are sick of hearing about it!

I will be thinking of everyone else on the 6th and I really hope everyone gets through!

 

Thank you ariella, i hope you do well in your face to face interview. Ye im glad for the same thing but i am kind of keeping it intact when im around most of my new friends, thr majority of them dont even know, lol. But i do like to talk disney a lot when im at home, my mum and dad are fed up, lmao, oh and at my work, i go on about it all the time. I fancy going to visit the disney store this week, theres one in glasgow so ill go find it.

 

yup good luck to all those (katiej22, Freckles, leomgray, everybody else!) waiting to hear about the f2f ... i'm pretty sure since we're all at this stage we're pretty much bound for F2Fs!!

yeah i try not to talk about Disney too much because once i get started i can't actually stop. and i plastered my excitement all over Facebook when i found out about the f2f so now everyone pretty much knows, haha!

btw, does anyone know if there's a facebook group for ICP 2009? me thinks we should start one to keep in contact and maybe get to know everyone else before we head there, it'll be awesome already having friends on board the Disney craziness

Leomgray-Thanks, I hope I find out soon when exactly the interviews are going to be. I already have my outfit all planned out lol! Ya my family thinks if I get the job I'll be sick of Disney and never want to go back, like that will happen! I think my love for Disney will grow even more spending my summer down there. Ohh I haven't been to a Disney store in ages. We have one in the town right beside mine but I don't think any of the buses go there. I'm going to be in Toronto in a week and a half so I'm sure I'll be heading to the Disney store while I'm there.

I keep changing my mind about which role I want to do. I want to be sure if I get a f2f so I can really sell myself in that role. hmmmm....

 

i have three which i have my eye on and am concentrating on, but i want to work at the magic kingdom, its the not the role im worried about, its the place.

 

I quite like the idea of working in entertainment and working in all the parks, but I also quite like a few other roles. it's so difficult!

 

haha yeah i keep changing my mind about what roles i want to do as well - if only we get a rotation of roles!! (do we get assigned to one park for the whole duration btw?)

@ Leom: me TOO i want to work at MK! the only exception is Tower of Terror at Hollywood Studios!

 

tower of terror would be SO cool, i'd love to work there! I'd be happy working anywhere really, but Magic Kingdom would be my number 1.

 

MK is my dream work place, and my four roles are character, character attendant, operations/attractions and merchandise(emporium).
