Yeah,I'm not too sure how uhh I'd do with a snake?
Something tells me not so good.
    Squirells are nothing.

It's the bugs and oh god snakes.

    I'm not too worried.
I guess I'm sorta lucky living where I do because the climate is so cold that no bugs really like to visit us.
The one that REALLY bugs me (pardon the pun) is the lovebugs.
Because I hate killing them because I feel so bad and they are so big that they bother me a whole lot.

oh, the lovebug is great.. how it's always on your face and hands.. how it never goes away no matter how you try to wave it away, how it loves to fly into your drink and go swimming..
    It's lovely

I've never seen a squirrel come to "too close"

Haha, the squirrel's on campus will! They are almost domesticated they are around university students so often. There was a group visiting from Paris and they were actually able to pet the squirrel (and catch it on video). I've also had a squirrel follow me to see if I had food, but he stayed a good distance away.

So are bugs a problem?? Like big spiders and stuff?? Cuz that's all I'd worry about...I actually like snakes. I'd like to keep one as a pet lol (as long as it's no poisonous)...I don't think that's go over very well with my room mates if I brought one home though hahaha ;)

    Bugs are no huge problem...
except for the rare occasion a cockroach or gecko finds its was into your apartment...
ants can be a huge problem.. at least in one apt I lived in... they were all over the kitchen, and in the cupboards, eating your food... and even after we had had a visit from pest control like a billion times, they were still there, going strong...
other than that, no other major bug problems..

ants are the only bugs that dont bother me, i sqish them with my fingers lol. obviously if there were loads i couldnt do that but it wouldnt bother me as much as cockroaches etc

yeah, they're not exactly life threatening... but when they're all over the place, and especially in the kitchen and eating your food... it gets somewhat annoying..
having to throw out all your food, and buy all new stuff, just for them to eat that to..
word of advice.. if you ever have ants in your kitchen.. .put all your food in the fridge

Or buy airtight plastic boxes, that way you'll never have any ants or bugs in your food ;)

that's true.. tupperware is great... I used that as a solution as well..
and one can use those zip-lock bags as well... they also do the trick

I guess even A Bugs Life hasn't changed our attitude towards bugs lol

I know everyone''ll probably have a different opinion but what size apartments do u think are the best if you were able to choose?

one of the 2-person apt near the bus stop/club house... as long as it's one of the big 2-person apt... wouldn't like the smaller ones..
and apt with a patio is also nice...

I think a four person one would be perfect. Because part of the experience is living with other people, but you don't share with too many. To many girls in one place can cause some trouble :p

I think 4 would be perfect! anymore people and people tend to be left out.. especially if one of the roomates has a car... I had that last year.. there was 6 of us and only one of us having a car destroyed some friendships because the car would only fit 4 people. Drama drama drama. lol

ah thats gotta suck. i couldnt just live with 1 other person though, would drive me round the twist livin with the same 1 person for so long, atleast when theres a few more, can have a break from the other girlies :p

    It's so true!
Having more than 4 girls in the same place is asking for trouble! That's a lot of estrogen in the same vicinity! ha ha
When I was in college, there were 3 guys and 3 girls in my townhouse and it worked out really well because we all took turns doing stuff and had a set list and what everyone did around the house. I miss those days!
I totally agree with the thought that living with different people from all over the world is a must do so living with more than one person would be ideal, however, if you get too many people in there, some may not enjoy it!

sorry this has probably been said somewhere before but the # of people in the apartments can either be 2 or 4....and I'm guessing 6 or 8 also...with 2 people in each room?
