Well durh, it would help if I wrote the rest of my comment before clicking on "post" wouldn't it?! lol

The last I heard, you were coming over for a holiday in early 2009 so I just assumed that it was then! Wow yay I'm so glad for you, I know you've been wanting to get back out there :)

Do you think you'll get into the habit of taking orders as a Skipper?! That would be so funny, a nationally confused server!!

Nah I'm going to be on holiday on Dec 5th...I'm so stalking everyone but you may not be fully working by the time I leave on the 16th! haha.

I could tell jungle jokes while serving! They may look at me oddly though. I wouldn't blame them.

Louisa, oh mighty guru of all that is Disney.....may not be fully working?! That sounds ominous haha. I always work fully, or not at all! Oh ok ok I get what you mean, I may be training and on the go slow, yes?! I can't wait to work there at such a magical time of year, I won't be able to stop smiling ;D

Haha, training...thats what I meant! You'll be in Limbo and I'll have no idea how to find anyone. I just can't find the words today.

    I crack myself up sometimes.

I dont want to pack ::)
Maybe santa could do it as a early present! Honestly, i think i deserve it cause i have been really good this year!

I am flying from Kristiansand to Oslo - London - Washington DC - Orlando!

Sooo, my question is ::) Any tips to make the flights funny (atleast ok!)?? Any special items to pack in my hand luggage?
I am travveling with others going to Disney, but i need something to do when they make me shut up ::) ;D

    12 days people!
Do you know when you arrive in Orlando?

Hmm... the main thing I always make sure I have on me when I fly is my ipod. If you have one, or any other mp3 player with video, load up some of your favorite movies or something because lord knows what movie your airline will show lol
Magazines, sudokus, books, a deck of cards... anything that can tie you over during those transatlantic flights lol Also, a neck pillow! I know they're annoying to lug around but they do make a difference. Maybe if you're artistic, a pad and some pencils/pens...

Thank you :) I'm definitely bringing the ipod. I'm actually finding flight music for my ipod now!
And sudoku is a good idea! Maybe i can try one on expert level, and suddenly i am in Orlando, haha! But then again, I dont want to use 20 hours of my life on a sudoku! So sudoku (easy) is noted!

I really want a pillow, but i dont think it will fit in my hand luggage :-\ I would rather have more clothes than a pillow ;) But some airlanes have pillows and blankets, or is that just in my fantasy?

Ya, some do. Probably the transatlantic flight will, since usually there is a "bed time" lol.
The pillow I meant for you are the kind that look like this http://www.jet-setter.ca/en/Featured_Products/Comfort_Travel_Pillow.html. They're much smaller than your normal pillow and are made for flying!
I think Sudoku books are great for flying. Like you said, give a harder one a try, and that will take up some time for sure!

Can you buy a normal duvet in Orlando? probably a stupid question. But I'm not fond of those bed clothes they give you in hotels! You no the ones! Where you have like 3 sheets a blaanket a quilt etc!

    I like a normal Duvet.

they don't 'do' duvets in Florida/America.

    They have comforters...

And comforters just aren't as cosy as duvets!

They do have duvets in most department stores. I would check out SuperTarget when you're there, they usually have nice bedding, for much cheaper than if you get one at Sears for example.
I've been looking for a bed-in-a-bag. You do get a comforter in those, but I've been trying to keep in mind that it is only for a year so I probably shouldn't go out and buy a super nice set for a couple hundred dollars. However if I win the lottery before I leave, I am definitely getting this beautiful Ed Hardy set I saw. Oh how I looove Ed Hardy stuff...

Hmm not sure what i'll do. I might just embrace the whole comforter thing. Could always get a duvet sent out to me if I miss mine too much. xXx

Won't it be too hot when we get there for duvets? I mean, we might want one after a few months, but June/July/Aug it'll be a bit warm in Florida won't it haha :D

Nope, I'm deffo taking my duvet. And my Tinkerbell bed sheet (US size! Got it last time), Tinkerbell pillow case, blanket and outer sheet. I may also bring my purple butterfly duvet cover! So I'm sorted for the first night!

Also, I'm going in Feb, and when I arrived in Feb in 2006 for the J1A, it was colder in Orlando than it was in the UK. We wore gloves and scarfs to work and everything. Just because its Florida, don't think it's always going to be hot! Also, what happens if your air conditioning is always turned up high??? It's better to be too warm than too cold I say :p

I have one too, I just love it lol Definitely bringing it.

I have to disagree on that one. I'm really not one for heat lol I've been to Florida in the summer so I know it sucks you-know-what, but I've come to terms with the fact that I will have to deal with it. I'm happy that I arrive in June so the worst of it will be right at the begining so the 100-degree weather will be over with right away. Looking out the window, I can see a child playing with a snowboard on the 4-foot hill in his front yard lol so cute... I'll have to take this winter in.

That's why I'm so glad I'm going in Feb! I don't like being hot either...but when I'm cold I simply don't function (i.e. at work today!) Going in Feb means we'll be gently eased into summer temperatures, so that by the time it comes, you've adjusted to the heat so much that it only seems natural for it to be that hot!

I virtually live in dresses and skirts when I'm not lounging at home or at work! I just have too many to choose from! Hopefully when we're on holiday I'll be able to find another nice ballgown in JCPenny's. I really want a red one!
