when i started my saturday job i didnt have a clue what the differnce between a fitted and flat sheet was - i soon had to learn - i work in a linens department. you could always go for a really light duvet if you got cold - summer weight 4.5 tog there called - surely america do sell duvets?!

My duvet at home is 10.5 I think....4.5 must be really thin!!

I thought comforters in the US were like duvets...we'll find out when we get there I suppose! :D

I donæt think they have comforters over there like we do here, in Norway at least. Everytime I've been there, I've always used blankets and quilts and that kind of stuff...

I need my duvet to keep me warm in winter! lol. Mind you, it is Florida where every room has air conditioning! You'll prob find you can adjust the temp to whatever you like, although if your a Brit sharing with a mexican it cud be interesting cos we're used to cold and they're used to the hot!

i read this earlier saying that is the most common problem in appartments is the fights over the aircon, i reakon ill take a duvet but buy one pre paked and not take it out of its wrapper till florida, ;D

thats a good idea, but think of the luggage space it'll take! you know tose vacu-bags? put clothes in and suck air out? Well i was wondering cos if i got them and then customs decided to check my luggage before i check in (have had that done to me once) how the hell am i gonna get all that stuff back in the case if i dnt have a hoobver to suck air out! lol. U reckon we would even be allowed to put those in out case cos of security?
