Yeah I'm getting pretty excited. I love Florida so much it's always been my dream to live there, and now I can't believe it's going to become a reality!

How long were you wait-listed, if at all?

Ahh I can't wait. I hope I get a roomie with a similar personality to me! I'm very go-go-go, and prefer to sight-see and do fun stuff and PARTY all the time, haha.

It's going to be so much easier than residence at college because there's no school/homework. Just working for a paycheck and then partying in the HOT Florida sun, NO WINTERRRRR. Oh, and shopping. Lots and lots of shopping :D

I'm very on the go too! Totally want to make the most out of the experience!!! I've been at uni here too, so similar experience...I'm just looking forward to not having to write essays or sit exams...and have money that is mine and not student loan!!

Where abouts are you from in Canada? Visited Canada on a holiday quite a few years ago now and I loved it...hope to go back at some stage and see more...or even ski!!! x x

oh wow! I've been to Toronto and Calgary...very nice places!!

Hmm, well first went to WDW when I was 4, then 9, then 14..been to Disneyland California when 8 and Paris a fair few times in between!!!

I'm originally from the NE of England, then moved to the SE near london when I was 16, and have been back in the NE at Durham University for the past three years!

So excited about the shopping...I just want some different shops to go in!! Handy that you'll be able to take a car. I was thinking of maybe hiring one at some point but am a bit scared about left hand driving, and automatics as I've never tried either!

Do you know any other canadians heading out on the same date? x x x xx

No, I don't know of any. Pretty much just me at this point, haha.

I'm getting very antsy, waiting for October to come. Just wish it would hurry up already!

I graduated on Tuesday, scary! Ooooh sounds cool, I know I few people who are getting into broadcast journalism and work experience seems essential! Sounds fun though!!!

I did a Geography degree, and don't have much planned yet :-s... doing some volunteering in the next couple of weeks (going to teach some 17 year olds..!) maybe get a part time job, then maybe a bit of travelling if I can scrape some money together. My dad lives in Cairo atm so may visit him a bit too. I'm also going to be applying for some deferred entry grad schemes for accountancy (I'm not that boring, it's just well paid!!!) for when I get back, but not sure whether I can apply just yet!

It seems really strange that there's not very many of us have this date, maybe they're waiting to judge how busy the parks are? x x x

It does seem an odd time to have people starting. I'm sure there's not many positions opening up in Oct. It's after the summer, and the beginning of the school year, so it's a kind of weird time.

Geog. sounds great! It was one of my favourite classes in high school. I haven't really decided how far I wanna go with the broadcast journo stuff, but Disney does own ESPN, hmmmmm... haha

Can't wait to move down and get all the yummy American food they have that we don't (not many different, but enough to be longed for! haha), and to go to super chear NHL games. Hockey games up here in Canada are soooo expensive, but cheap in the southern American states!

Yeah geog is fun, if a bit run of the mill as a subject! Hmm ESPN...maybe having Disney on the CV could be very handy indeed!

I can't wait for the food either...one of my aims at disney is to eat and drink my way around the world in epcot! Should be lots of fun! I really want to go on lots of beach trips...the english seasides are seriously lacking in sun! My ex used to be big on canadian hockey teams...he took me skating once and he was surprised when I could actually skate (if only a little!!)

What role are you in? I'm sure you've said before but I can't quite remember! You canadians have a much better costume than us UK peeps! x x

I'm working in Food and Beverage, and I think our costumes are so dorky! Americans love to play up the stereotypes of a country. Our costumes are called "the lumberjack" and honestly, I don't think I've ever seen a lumberjack in my entire life!

But yeah I'm with you on the beaches. Canadian beaches are nice, but there's nothing like going to the ocean. Hopefully they won't all be tainted by the time we get there though, from the damn oil spill!

Have you seen how long the skirt is for the uk people!!! lol...I don't think they've changed the costumes since the park opened!

I need a bit of sun, it's been sunny here but I've had really bad hayfever so just keep sneezing everytime I go outside. Going to Cairo in a few weeks though so that should put some colour into my skin!!! x x

I love that there's more UK people :), don't know why they made you wait so long- I'd have given up by now!

Darcie- do you know of any more Canadians that have just been offered positions?
