Same. I know I've got the personality that Disney are looking for (I've been there enough times to be able to pull off the cheesy and happy charm they're after! ), but I'm not sure my CV is good enough for them to see that.
I wouldn't worry too much about your CV, there are plenty of people fresh out of college who have never had a job manage to get out there. I honestly think there is a large element of pot luck involved.
Ooooh thank-youu =] The F2F I think will be easy for me, thats not the bit I'm dreading. I'm worried they wont think my CV is good enough. Then I'm dreading the phone interview, I've never done one before so I'm worried in case I mess up =/
i agree with you stu i also think if i can manage to get a phone interview i will be happy its the initial them accepting your CV to start with thats the hardest part
We all in the same boat. I have it on good authority that Disney are fully behind me coming back! Unfortunately to get that far I have to hurdle Yummy 1st Surely Disney should therefore handle rehires themselves and leave Yummy out it?
At the very least there should be some sort of way Disney can let Yummy know people who have proved themselves and would be a huge asset again.
I think they should just rehire us all and be done with it! We all know that 2009/2010 was a great year for amazing CM's (and possibly some not so amazing ones haha )
ahem 2007-2008 was an incredible year too I might add esp for us lot who are also reapplying we rocked
haha I didn't say it was 'the' great year, just 'a' great year I'll accept amazing CM's from other years too
Wow I cant believe how many of us from 2008-2009 alone are reapplying. Its kind of scary to imagine the total numbers submitting applications. Its safe to assume we really do have an almost impossible task ahead of us. The worse thing about this is, I seem to be more hungry for a place this time round compared to my first. That one just seemed to happen all by itself. In fact I couldnt believe that I kept progressing as I did. it wasnt until I was at the Embassy getting my visa that it felt real. Like you said Stu, I think the hardest part is getting the initial phone interview. I think they will be hard pressed to give us any reason for a rejection other then You've already been. They cant say we werent good enough, thats for sure! lol Fingers crossed they are prepared to actually allow the reapplicants the chance to go back, given its the 1st time ever they have considered it. I guess we'll see. I get really nervous thinking about it. I want it so much to be back. Hard to believe I've been back longer now then I was there for.
There were some reapplicants at my interview in October who were accepted again so it does seem Disney is happy to re-hire people, if that makes you feel any better. Good luck!
Hmmm really? People who had already been on the program were successful? I was told this was the VERY 1st time they were opening it up to previous CMs. Interesting. Thanks!
i am currently waitlisted for the CRP and around 5-7 people who had previously done it got to go again, howeer not that many people like myself got to go who has done the CRP before, but things haved changed even since the prvious applications so who knows
People definitely got through, but be prepared to work a little harder at the interview- during our presentation those who had done the program before were asked to put their hands up and tell everyone why they wanted to re-do the program.
Interesting. Good to know. Thanks. I've already started my own prep for the interviews - just fingers crossed im lucky enough to get to that stage. Its almost impossible to know what they want to hear lol I think a great deal of faith, trust and pixie dust is no match for good old fashioned LUCK when it comes to this selection process. Fingers crossed though.
Just applied again too and hoping that just because some of us have done the programme before that it doesn't stop us from having the same chance as everyone else, if anything it shows we managed to get through the programme without being TERMINATED lol
I seem to remember at my last interview, because they couldn't get the projector to work, they passed the time by getting everyone who'd done the ICP to tell us all about it - you couldn't redo the CRP at that point, I think. On the upside...less of Valerie!!
