My co-workers KILL THEMSELVES LAUGHING after someone leaves the desk because I can't STOP!!!

Ok ... so I was all confused, 'cause if anyone had asked me to spell Alum... I would have spelt it Aluminum, cause that's the only way I know to pronounce it. So I seached it up and found this website.

I can't think of any funny pronounciations I have ... but I do get the strangest looks when I use the name "bunny hug". Seems it's just in our province that anyone has a clue what it is (except maybe AB 'cause so many from SK move there). If you're wondering, a bunny hug is a hooded sweatshirt ... what the rest of the world would refer to as a "hoodie" or a "kangaroo jacket" (which although I get it's because of the pouch, sounds very odd to me). I have no idea where the name comes from ... but I've called it a bunny hug all my life. I searched up the term ... but I haven't found anything useful. Just silly stories of people staring blankly when they hear the word.

Hey I've heard Bunny Hug before
Some people in NL use it. But more often you hear hoodie.

Oh that's awsome! Now our provinces have two things in common, the use of the term bunny hug ... and being abandoned by Ottawa!

I'se The B'y that builds the boat and
I'se The B'y that sails her and
I'se The B'y that catches the fish and
    Brings 'em home to Liza

    Chorus:
    Hip-yer-partner Sally Tibbo
    Hip-yer-partner Sally Brown
    Fogo, Twillingate, Morton's Harbour,
    All around the circle

Sods and rinds to cover your flake,
    Cake and tea for supper
Cod fish in the spring of the year,
    Fried in maggoty butter

    Chorus

I don't want your maggoty fish
    They're no good for winter
Well I can buy as good as that,
    Way down in Bonavista!

    Chorus

I took Liza to a dance,
As fast as she can travel,
And every step that she could take,
Was up to her knees in gravel

    Chorus

    Susan White she's outta sight,
    Her petticoat wants a border,
Well old Sam Oliver in the dark,
He kissed her in the corner!

    Chorus

I'se The B'y that builds the boat and
I'se The B'y that sails her and
I'se The B'y that catches the fish and
    Brings 'em home to Liza

    Chorus

    Here we go kids.......sing along!! ;D ;D

Yup :D in 15 days I will start my Jungle Cruise

And I come from Surrey so techincally don't have an accent :-\ Everyone else in the country does LOL, let's just say I sound posh apparently ;)

You know that's not such a bad idea... except there are no jungles in Cornwall or Dorset...not that I know of anyway.

    :p
