Wow sounds like you guys are having fun filling in all the forms. What job are you all hoping to do?

I also got my tax form today but don't really know what to do with it.

I REALLY REALLY want a hotel placement.

Yeah out of those job roles Hospitality would be the one for me. I want to do the Hilton grad program when I finish at Disney so if I'm working in a hotel for 6 months that has to help my application :) I think then I'd go for Full Service F&B second - one of my American friends over the summer had a SWEET job at the Grand Floridian doing that!!

That presentation is exactly the same as the one I watched for my ICP program in the summer. I was surprised it didn't include more info about the specific program we're applying to though...

My degree subject is French, so I hope I can speak two languages :) I want that Hilton program REALLY badly...it's a bit scary tho. A friend of a friend is on it at the moment and sent me some info, she said that 1800 people applied for NINE places on the program!!!

Just as well I'll hopefully have Disney on my CV twice ;) Fingers crossed!

Eek. These grad schemes do come with really hefty competition. It seems like your experience will back you up well though. Good luck.

1800 for 9 places is bad but the grad program I'm going for is 3000 applicants for ten places! Thats competition. ;)

I always think they lie a little bit about it. Heard that 45.000 ppl apply every year for Virgin Atlantic and just 10% get an interview and don't know how many out of this amount get the job.

Which grad program do u wanna apply for Emi.

Are the other talking about the elevator program with Hilton?

Yea I thought it was strange the presentation didnt mention anything to do with the education part of it!
I put down operations first and then merchandise, Full Service F and B and Hospitality don't really know what I wana get tho!

Right guys, I have emailed Kristen to question the interview process...

    Her response...

She believes at this moment in time that for those who have been offered phone inteviews, this may be the only interview we need to participate in (ie no f2f.)

But, she goes on to say, if Disney feel they should conduct an f2f interview to aid the recruitment process further, it could be requested in order to cement their decision.

She said that f2f interviews are going on in March for the July intake but Disney are excited to get the process stared with some candidates by providing phone interiews instead.

From what I can gather, If we excel in next weeks phone interviews, no f2f is required. I think we should really work hard planning this.

Personally, I think they are handing out phone interviews purely to those not in easy reach of f2f locations.

But good to know that f2f interviews may indeed be NOT part of our process.

Thats lucky if u dont have to have a f2f. It cost me so much money last time.

As for jobs after uni I have looked at various things but i'm not sure what I want to do maybe hotel or theme park management so the academic part of the program im hoping might help.

But cult rep applicants have the same stress for the phone interview THEN have to go to a f2f!! ;D
