I don't think Custodial is an option for the Cultural rep program... I'm pretty sure it's Attractions/F&B/Merch... Thats all that was mentioned to me in the phone interview though.

Personally I don't care much between Attractions and Merch, I'd rather do those than F&B, but I'd take F&B if offered (the tips would help).

I am also now booked in the same hotel as both of you!

Nitsa - Congrats, welcome to the small west coast crowd (although you guys are literally west coast lol)

Haha I am about as far west as you can get :D

Yeah, they only mentioned 3 to me on the phone as well... however this site:
    http://disney.go.com/disneycareers/wdwcareers/international/details.html
    shows more.

So I'm not sure... theres a good chance its only the main jobs.

I feel the same way about F&B, but i think they get a "tipped position pay" which is only like $2.10...? vs. $6.40 :D (depending on which F&B you choose...) But I don't know.

Thats great, we're all at the same place. ;D

Thats true but a lot of those positions are for the other international programs. If you check here it pretty much says that the Cultural Rep program has the 3 mentioned.

    http://disney.go.com/disneycareers/wdwcareers/international/options.html

So I'm pretty sure we won't get offered anything but those 3...

    John,

I worked in F&B when I was at Epcot. I was on podium for a long time before I got into service, but Le Cellier is an amazing restaurant and I would go back to working there anytime. The money is so much better than it is in attractions/merch... but I think they do have more opportunities for making *magic*, if that's what you're into. No matter what you're doing, there are still days when it's just a job and you want to go home. But overall, it was a fantastic experience.

But as a CR participant, you can't really work anywhere but the pavillion, and I didn't really hear about anyone doing job-shadowing anywhere else.

    Hey everyone,

One more to add to the Montreal list, my friend also got in today, which just means more Kamloopsians for you all to have to deal with (the pic sucks but that's her and I at one of our frequent Kelly O's nights). This is going to be awesome!!
John, I'm so glad that you've enjoyed Kamloops, I absolutely love it here. Victoria is awesome though as well, along with my yearly trips I've also been over there frequently with the BC Youth Parliament for the past couple of years, good times. I sound like a huge loser saying that though.

Wow, the excitement and anticipation just keep building up.. I can't imagine what I'll be like in a week.

    See you all very soon!!

    Nitsa

Ya, I think I'm just going to go buy something, all my skirts seem to be a bit too fancy. More fancy restaurant dinner type stuff. :-\ oh well, shopping's always fun. hee hee

Yeah everything I've read pretty much says professional business dress...

You may want to get a suit as well someone posted a while ago that him and 2 girls all wore suits to the Vancouver interviews last fall and all got in.

Ya, I definitely think thats what I am going to go for. I'll just have to get a jacket and skirt. I know i'll have a terrible time finding slacks long enough. They are always about 2 inches too short, and that just doesn't look good. :-\

Nope lol, my pants were quite long but since I was buying a suit all adjustments were either part of the price or dirt cheap (I can't remember honestly lol).

oh for sure, espeically if you get the job eh?

Me I know I'm going to be needing a suit over the next year anyway. I have my University Convocation, a friends wedding, and likely (judging by my grandparents health they're good now, but not nearly as good as they were a year or two ago) a funeral or two on the way as well. That and Disney or not I'll have job interviews for teaching positions within the next two years...

I'm sure it's not only me who bought a suit and will need it often in the near future. It's defonatly a worthy purchuse!
