yeah you can open an account there and you get a debit card and a cheque book i believe.

I think Disney expect u to open a bank account out there, vista credit union gives u disney cheque book tho u have to pay a bit - lindsey knows more! I heard theres a disney symbol on the debit card! I def will do that my first week - get boring stuff out of the way. Although some US banks dont let u open an account till u get social security card - tho my campus branch was different so maybe disney banks will just wanna see our disney card and other id?

Will take my debit card and cash for first two weeks - worked great the whole year last time (think i struck lucky on the exchange rates!) although i used my US account a lot too!
I only plan on using my british account for the first few weeks - unless any family members give me money during the year

but yeah i'm gona do that, we have 2 open an account in first week anyway cos of disney putting our wages in etc, so i remember at the presentation anyway! so yeah that'll b good, but still taking debit for emergencies.

i always 4get to ask, what bank do u work for chelle?

How have u been??
As for me, the debit card is the best, because u have a control on how much money u have and how are u spending it.
Of course the credit card is cool because u can buy more expensive things, the bad thing comes later when u have got to pay for it.
I also prefer buying with debit card because u r dealing with pennies and quarters.
I hate little coins, and u never spend them!!!!!
I have got tons of money in American and Canadian Dollars here at home.

I do tend to go off on one a bit when it comes to bank stuff!!! I work for Royal bank of scotland by the way!!

The stupid thing is I spout off all this bank crap but I dont stick to it!!! When I went to prague/vienna last year i took my debit card and used that!!! Although i always tell customers never to do that!!! Lol!!! Its just so much easier!!!

Am sorta getting organised!!! Will get my flight detials tomorrow which is v exciting!!! Will let you guys know when Im off!!!

I dont know, but I have some ability to retain tears
but this time I will be gone for a year!! So I dont know how my feeling are going to react.
The meeting with my friends is going to be ok, it is going to be hard
but not as much as family.

I hate goodbyes!!!! I don't like how emotional it always gets. But look at it this way...you are only gone for a year and not a lifetime, and most likely your friends and family will be visiting you. And there is always email...

 

as true as that is...im sure i'll still get so homesick!!
