Mickey's Retreat

hehe yup thats it..... the first time my family ever came to the US, we didn't realise that the 1st floor was the ground floor... so you can imagine what happened in the lift 8)

 

You all just have to wait for your throw-ins!! It's one of the most memoirable nights! And just remember it's for fun and for YOU!! No Pressure!!!!! ;D

So again.. Just so Im clear!The Commons is like this... 1 - 20 buildings close to bus and pool? 20 and over - far from bus stop and pool but close to Mickey's retreat!

Im trying to figure it out by looking on Google Earth!

also... do the buildings go wellness, non wellness, wellness etc. Or are all the wellness and non wellness grouped together?

 

Wellness apartments are completely random... There is no logical sequence of building or apt size.

You actually have to leave the Commons to walk to Mickey's retreat. So I guess, in theory, those closest to the bus stop / exit are closest to Mickey's Retreat.

block 10 block 4 had various amazing parties wen i was there but really building 19 and 23 were the ones for all the parties.....

i think if i remember rightly ( iwas usually too drunk to notice) that 2318 was an amzing party apartment!! well the first half of my contract it rocked, i chilled a bit more in ym second half! lol

its so hard to explain the layout of the commons, but i generally found that anywhere up to building 20 was "close" to the club house, but sometimes in that heat i couldnt even make it to the mailboxes frm block 10..... and if u went to the mailboxes at a random time of night, cos that was fun to do, then u might get caught by the sprinklers, ew they chuck out some crap water!!!

mickeys retreat..... wat a place, i spent many a day there, wen my friend came over on holiday we chilled out there a few days, so cool, and yeh i remember that sandy ass crack day!!!! hehe

i had my grad at mickeys retreat too, its nice to be able to go somewhere free that is near the commons and just chill, smetimes i got bored of lying by the pool in the commons and watch some of the posers...... i am not naming any particular nations but really people, buy urselves some decent coverage and stop shouting and screaming! lol

oooh ona do ya remember the bbq night where we were all a bit tipsy and ste smacked vaz in the mouth wen he was doing the sprinkler dance?? hehehe

If you were looking at the picture...the building to the left of the clubhouse/pool is building 8 (on the smaller side of the complex)...and the building to the left of the entrance is building 1...on the larger side of the complex is building 9 and up.

re: Mickey's Retreat - People rarely went when I was in the Commons (except a couple of guys who went there to smoke illegal substances)

If I wanted a Disney beach I used to go to the Polynesian .... aloha! 8)

 

God! The Poly beaches! ;D

Some of my best (and saddest :-\ ) memories are of watching Wishes from the Poly. ;D

Thanks Shannon, it all makes sense now! The smaller side near the pool is buildings 1 to 8 and the longer side is 9 and up!

I was in 16 and I can't remember what it was called. Actually I think it was nameless...well except those snotty Beverly Hillians called it the ghetto too!! *scowl*
