that sucks! I guess I picked the wrong position! Oh well it looks like tons of OT for me in order to feed my habits: shopping and partying!!!!! Ali
I can't remember how much they took off for tax...I only looked at what little I had left!! The union is an organization they try to get you to join during your first week...I think they still do...they'll represent you if you have employment issues...but the secret is that you don't have to be a paying member to get representation...not that you should ever need it. If you are taken in to a room and asked to sign a piece of paper that you have no clue about, but it'll cost you money and it's not housing...don't do it!!!! Yeah, in Foods your hourly rate is really low but you can easily make over $100 a day in tips, so it's way above us merchies!!!!!! I remember lots of people not having enough to cover their rent on their paychecks, but $1000's in cash from tips! So they'd have to go pay the clubhouse. As for the staying in and making your own fun...that's pretty much what everyone in the Commons does!!! Just because you're a merchie doesn't mean you're going to have to lock yourself in your apt!! You'll figure it out and be fine. Shan
