lol my family & friends have had me goin crazy bout Disney since i first started applying a year ago! lol ive always been a disney nut but everytime ive got thru each stage iv got more excited and now the closer its getting..... i think im getting annoyin now!

well i dnt mind... am gettin narked with librarians comin and telling me to stop eatin though! one min we have to be here for 2 hours solid or get marked as absent and then we're being told to go to canteen and eat! Grrr! lol

Yes...money in merch sucks...but it doesn't sound like any of you will have a problem because you are all big disney nerds like me...and Ona for that matter!!! The miserable merchies were the ones who weren't there because they loved Disney. If you aren't into Disney, you're better off in F&B because the money will make you happy. F&B-ers are good to have a friends because they'll often help you out. The rumours that once they hit a tipping position they can make $100 - $200 a night is true in Canada and UK at least.

I loved having my three days off...although I never really had money to spend on them. I made about $100 or so a week, but I took every chance to ER and go home early. You can make a little more than that if you never ER and if you pick up overtime shifts that are posted and available. Picking up OT is how to make the big bucks in merch.

Thanks Shan... im so excited about merch... Ive done both merch and f and b in past jobs and merch is def more me. I think its gonna be fun... and reading what kev was saying about dressing up etc has made me look fwd to it even more!

I've probably done more merch than f and b by far... but still if i never have to polish a glass or carry a tray on my shoulders it will be far too soon!
I quite like all the customer contact of merch too as thats what im used to at the moment working as a hostess...

I'd never done F&B...have no interest whatsoever...so there was no choice to make for me. If they had offered me F&B, I might have thought about it, but luckily I got merch.

Getting to dress up is the fun part of being in the UK...you have lots of toys to play with!
