Does a USA customs office web site exist???
If yes you can mail/call them...

you can ask your embassey for help..
..not just the website, try to go or call them..
I think that this way you can get much more info...

Another possibility could be represented by air-line companies..
...maybe they know something about it...
if you already know the company you'll fly with try to contact them...

i was looking at this website:
    http://www.usembassy.org.uk/ukcust1.html#medicine
    but im still not sure.
There is a phone number but when i phoned there was a message saying he is out of the office until the end of this month.

Don't really know where else we can get any info from ??? ???

    Just one more question...
    what about vaccinations????
Do we need to have some specific documents??
I'm asking because in the letter it doesn't mention this issue.
Maybe it's just because we don't need to proove it.
Do you know something about it?

Probably not Alex, coz there aren't any specific vaccinations you need to travel to the states (unlike other areas of the world where there are different diseases).

I asked my nurse if mine were all up to date and they are anyway, so thats cool :)

Ive just spoken to the customs people at the UK Embassy.
And they've said your only allowed to take 3 months worth of medication with you. He said i would be fine having a further 3 months sent to me in the post. But if i had any more sent over it would be flagged up in there system.

The rest of the medication will have to be brought in America

With THAT said KT......WHERE oh WHERE would we get it then??

My pharmacy here in CANADA said NO WAY would they let me take MORE then 3 months!! So, that means I HOPE that Disney insurance covers meds???

    SOMEONE??

    ANYONE???

    HELLO THERE???

I don't know about the Disney coverage but as far as I know you are only allowed the three months of prescriptions. Other than that you could get your doctor to fill out the prescription for you every three months and have a family member mail it to you. Just make sure your doctor likes you 8).

As I think KT may have mentioned earlier - even if your Doctor will issue you with the full years prescription, US customs will not allow you to take it all in, and if you try to have it mailed over to you, even in small amounts, it could be classed as drug trafficking  ??? - not something you want 2 happen!

When I spoke with my doctor and the farmacy they said that there would be no problem bringing medication to USA. If it was still in the original pacage and signed. Hope that I get it over then since I allready payed for everyting for a whole year.

You need to check wether the medication is supplied in America.
If it isn't then i think from what the guy said you can take it with you, as long as you have a doctors letter.

If it is supplied then you will need to buy it there.

The person i spoke to said that you would only be able to have one package sent over, otherwise it will be flagged up!

With Disney insurance, i think it only covers you for things that happen whilst your away, not on-going medical conditions.

If any of you want it i can put the number on here when i get home so you can speak to them yourselves if you have any specific questions

Does anyone knows if there's a website where I can find the translation of Italian med names into American ones??
    I mean..
...if mine are over what should i look for if I have a temperature???
    That would be very helpful....
