medical insurance!

Curious.... is it just travel insurance that everyone is getting, opposed to medical insurance?

Noo...make sure you get medical insurance!!! it costs an unbelievable amount to go to the doctors in US! i had an ear infection and needed anti-biotics and it cost my brother almost $1000!!!

my medical covers me up to £2,000,000 yes - 2 million!!!

It's all one package though! x

I want confirmation that my insurance has been successful- gateways should confirm earlier

 

Thanks to my mom, I've got my medical insurance all worked out. I'm getting mine from CAA (Canadian Auto Association for those not from Canada). It's costing me about $240 cdn. With the US exchange, I think it works out to be a little less than Gateway, but the coverage is $5,000,000.

Yay!!! Getting my plane ticket tomorrow too!!!

hey im traveling on june 21st and ive been sat at the computer all weekend trying to sort out my med and travel insurance its making my poor heard hurt ???

if anyone has any advice i would be greatful for the help

Hey Sarah, I just did exactly wot disney recommended even tho it might be a little more expensive! It made everything so much easier cos gateway send ur detials straight to disney. Tho I am only going for 3 months so i'm not sure if that's the best option for all those lucky peeps on the yr long program!

jenstrat will be on the 3 month college program where u r not working as a cultural rep in the UK. she can be in any park doing any job

 

hey Im on the 3 month prorgam n I emailed alexis to ask about insurance n she said I need my travel insurance and then another policy to cover medical insurance..... so i just did gateway n then got travel insurance from insure and go. Hope that helps!!

Hey, i got the adventure backpacker from insure and go for about £100 and they said that covered both my travel and medical insurance for 4 months! It seems really cheap for both, but i did ask the people at insure and go if that included medical insurance and they said yes.

 

yeah...most travel insurance covers medical insurance especially if you get the "premium" deal or whatever which is normally only £20 more or something....

....still a lot cheaper than gateway guys! x

 

we only need the insurance from gateway for a few months don't we then disney do insurance for us for the rest of the year (don't know how much they charge tho), is that right??

 

hey i have a feeling that disney go through gateway but from what ive read gateway is rally expensive i was thinking of getting insurance set up here for the whole yr then i know im covered

I checked on Gateway (really easy to fill in btw...once you know which policy to look at!)...it's $194 for the 4 months....about £100.....but I don't know how that compares to what everyone else has seen/got....

So, do we need travel insurance for the WHOLE year??? (12month people!?)

answer ellen I want to know that too. I'd heard we need to organise the first few months ourselves and disney would organise the rest of the year for us when we get there!

I think we will have to look into the travel insurance part of it, coz i'm a travel agent at the mo and even if we sell someone annual cover it only cover upto so many days per trip. So i think if would be better to go to a specialist insurance company who can cover travel for up to 365 days+ on one single trip :
