hey at hrc u cant work anywhere else other than in the hrc centre in the uk - because of the visa u are on

the hrc bit is in one of the merch shops - i think its the shop with all the beatles memorabilia - think it starts as the sports shop and then you walk thru into aother section that has all the 60's type stuff and the hrc in it. its literally a counter with a display case with some emblem /coat of arms goodies and a massive file with names and the heraldary bits relevent to each name in it

tp all extets and purposes your just like someone doing merch except instead of swithcing positions u stay in the one location all the time

the main difference is u get paid more but ur rent costs more and obv your working for a particpant as opposed to directly for disney so i think u dont get some of the disney perks like the xmas voucher book (which is awesome) ad i think the main gate or u get something slightly different but thats about it

I don't think I like the fact that you would have to work in the same place for the whole year, you wouldn't really get to meet as many new people would you? And I hate being bored, so doing the same sort of thing every single day would be a nightmare.
So do you get the option to apply for HRC through Yummy?? I dont know why I'm asking because I'm not as interested in applying for that position as I am for F&B or Merch (just being nosey really) :D
Ooooooooh CHRISTMAS VOUCHERS!!!!!! Sounds fab :D x

That's so bizarre. Americans are really weird with their drinking laws!

Ooooh, I like the sound of that HRC thing. Sounds pretty interesting. Just the fact you maybe don't get Disney perks :( which is all added in the experience, which kinda sucks if you don't get all that! If theres a greater chance of me getting out there then I'll sure do it :D haha x

I don't think we get ALL the Disney perks... but we do get some/most of them.
As I said I'm not a 100% sure on the details yet, will find out more once I get there. But during my phone interview with the HRC people they did mention a voucher booklet that was given out at certain times of year (inc. Christmas) as some of the perks.
Also the manager of HRC said most expensive item they offer is a $4000 ring or something, and when we sell one of those she buys everybody pizza haha yet another perk.
It's a smaller bunch of people true, but from what I've heard, merchies work alone a lot of the time. But with HRC there's always someone else there. And you are still part of the UK, still part of the team, just you work in a little area.

I don't think I'd have liked to do just merchandise (but that's me, also I would have accepted it if it was offered!) as I haven't worked in retail in sooo long. I put F&B as first choice as I'm used to that sort of environment. But when this offer came up I was so excited, because it interests me.

HRC probably isn't for everyone, but if it really interests you, then you will still have to complete experience! Don't worry you won't miss out :) xx

$4000 ring? Ooooh, I want it ;) haha!
From what you say it still sounds amazing, working & living in Florida sounds good alone.. I don't think I mind where I work within Disney. It's the experience that counts so much for me :) xx

Completely going off subject but my mum's going to Florida in September, her visa just came through the door and for a slight second I was thinking "YAYYY IT'S MINE!" then I looked at who it was addressed to and my heart dropped. Lmao :(
Told you the wait is making me go insane!

If you go on Our Lounge, go onto employee discounts. There's literally hundreds of online stores you can get cashback on, and you can buy giftcard type things with say 10% off. So you can in a way get your grocery shopping cheaper :) For Comet, you call/text a number and you can get an instant 10% off in store on anything even sale stuff :)
