Making friends/homesickness

Wow, it's cool that they give you emails for other participants leaving on the same flight! I'll have to suggest that to International Services!

 

A lot of my closest friends in Disney were from wdwip! It was great having something to look forward to when they got there, and it's a great way of making friends in different locations.

ive found people on facebook under groups like yummy flights and icp 08 but not only about 4 people seem to be on the uk gatwick flight june 3rd and about a million on 22nd june...im on 3rd june lol

I've only been able to find people on my flight via facebook groups and people contacting me and this website. I haven't received anything from yummy.

 

they tell you like a month before you go i think!

 

i think theres an email after you have recieved your visa

 

We got our lists about a month and a half before our departure date.
Its been great for a few of us to get chatting, a couple have managed to get the same flights and there's groups going for the visa appoints together!

Definately one of yummy's better ideas

 

Hey I'm a little worried too, I've been away from home while working at a resort for 5 months but I was only an hour and a half drive away. I made some really good friends though. It'll be hard some times I"m sure but then you just have to think I'm working for a mouse in Florida!

Do you think the people going down from Canada will get a list of other applicants to see if we can get together as well?
I'm driving down with my dad, but it would be cool to meet up with people that we will be working with down there ahead of time and stuff.....That's a great idea!

 

I think since we're also with Yummy now there's a good chance they will give us contact information.

Hopefully we'll be able to get a few things sorted out before we go and then it's just a matter of getting there and settled!
