Wow you guys are really starting to get everything sorted. So can one of you explain about the proving funds stuff? Is this for the tutition?

Kristen send me an email this morning saying that the two forms are just for our information at the minute but when we arrive Disney will have us sign them.

Yeah the fundings for the UCF tuition, all you have to do is send Yummy a bank statement showing that you have enough money to cover your fees. You just need to convert the amount of your bank account into US$.

I prefer my account in $ it makes it look like i have far more than i do :D

Don't forget you also have to have a signed letter from a personal banker.

^Or do you only have to do that if someone else is paying the fees? If it was coming out of my savings account do I still need a letter from the bank, or just a statement?

Really? I thought I did..Oh wait no it wasn't me who thought that ;)

That like racism or something!! lol

So we have to send them our bank statment? How would we get it to show in dollars? Or do ya mean that we have to find out the Fx rate and just calculate it ourselves and show them that?!
Isn't it kinda pointless though anyway coz What I have in my band account today defo won't be what I have by July!! ???

Yeah it's stupid. I get paid about £500 a month disposable income coz all my rent is paid by my loan. I no way have the money for the program now but two months down the line I will have. My dads gonna wire me the money so the forms arnt late tho. He probably would offer to pay for it anyway nearer the time but I kinda wanna do it for myself so I'll wire it him back after I get the letter and statement.

I faxed off my acceptance form to Disney. I hope I did it right, I have never used a fax before. I dialled 001-407-828-3330 adding the 2 noughts for the dialling code even tho it doesn't say to do that. I hope that is right and they got it!!

Does it have to be faxed?! I dont have fax machine ???

It says it needs to be faxed but there is a postal address. I presume letters don't have to pay £500 for a flight like we do. :D

Or just go to your University House and someone will have a fax there. That's what I did.

Your university must have admin offices, like admissions, finance etc. Do you have a secretary for your course?

    I don't think so!
We have a finance office alright but you wouldnt be allowed to just walk in and use their fax machine ::)

Well if you have trouble mail it to me and I'll get it faxed.

I thought you needed a letter as well but in the step by step instructions its says 'this documentation must be in english and must be an original bank statement from yourself or your parent showing $1800 or about £900' and then out of the options it says to tick 'bank statement in english' and it doesnt say to tick any of the other options (one of which is a letter). I really dont know though but thats the way i interpreted it.

I have emailed Kristen coz it says on the flipside to what you wrote,

    Personal Savings:

You need to obtain a letter from your bank showing your name and the amount in the personal account

I think I may have interpreted 'letter from your bank' as wrong. Maybe it just means bank statement. Coz it says for sponsership/parents, they need to get a letter documenting the relationship to the applicant. I think I've got severely confused.

Yeah I saw that but just interpreted it as bank statement becos its got the banks letterhead on it, the amount in the account and my name and address, etc. I've got my fingers crossed that i'm right because i've sent all my stuff back to Yummy now and i havent really got time to be sorting it out.

I think its stipid anyway, as you said in an earlier post what we have in our accounts now is not going to be anywhere near the same amount in 3 months time.

Yeah I think you're right. I just totally misread it :D

I've just looked at Medical Insurance from the Yummy Jobs site from July 15 to Feb 10 (30 days after the program finish date)

$50,000 coverage which meets all the visa requirements is $192. Not bad. I don't know whether to just buy it and get it out the way.

Yeah I got the insurance Yummy jobs recomended last year cause it's a good price. But it doesn't cover baggage loss. And since the airline nearly lost one of my bags (it was just delayed) then you might want to bear that in mind. Or get insurance that covers your bags but doesn't meet the other requirements as well as the yummy jobs insurance. Might work out cheaper cause I remember from last year that the other insurance companies didn't meet all the requirements without being really expensive.

When i went last summer, the airline almost lost our luggage..they'd left it in philly..

Basically they said if they hadn't found it in 3 days of something..that they would pay us something like $20 a day until they found it..and if they hadn't found it in like 2 weeks or so..they'd just reimburse us for everything in the suitcase..(This would be the time i accidently put my brand new ipod in my case instead of my hand luggage ;))

Guess some airlines work differently tho..so you've gotta make sure first, if they cover for this..
