Leaving December 6th

Haha yeah without a doubt. Wal Mart! Wal Mart! I say that but I slept on my stolen plane pillow up until last weekend

 

I think I'll be fine with the pillow thing, I've got a pillow from tesco which has all the air sucked out of them so that will be packed on the bottom of my case!!

Does anyone know when we find out when we go and get our visas? Does yummy contact us first??

Helen Ive got some of those pillows to! Im not taking a duvet though as I figured that if im cold on the first night I can just throw all the clothes ive brought over me!


I think Yummy sends us the forms and then we call the embassy to make our appointments. Im sure I read somewhere in the stuff they gave us that They send us the stuff about a month before we go. Im hoping they send it sooner as it will take at least 2 weeks to get an appointment at the embassy. As long as we leave on the 6th ill be happy - I don't think I can wait much longer!

Thought should really start taling on here a bit more now!! can't believe we have lesss than weeks to go now - I sohaven't done anything yet (apart from make loads of lists!!!!)

So what sorts of things is everyone taking??

I just don't know where to start with everything really, I was thinking I should try and sort stuff out what to pack etc but I keep thinking its too early, but if I leave it too late then know I will need loads of stuff to but last min,

Has everyone sorted their insrance out yet??

Yeh - I got my insurance through Gateway - the ones that Disney recomended. I tried looking else where, but most English insurance companies will only insure for holidays - so i figured I might as well go through Gateway, just to be sure!!

I started writing loads of lists, things I have to do - things I have to get still etc, but I think I should really start getting some of it now - Me and my Mum are spending 2 days shopping next week and are gonna get as much as possible.

I still have not sorted ny insurance, thats the next thing to do, I was a bit unsure on gateway only because Ellen mentioned that she had to see a doctor and it cost her $125, she could not claim any money back from gateway unless it was over the value of $150 and then she could only claim back 80%!!!
A few others have taken insurance with other companies - I put a post on here its now on page 3 so have a look,
Charlotte mentioned STA travel who sound really really good when I called them
also I think Chloe has her's with Boots which sounds ok.
I suppose we will never know which is best, I think I would rather pay upfront for 13 months so its out of the way, so I don't have more things cummin out of wage every payday!!

hey guys,
i received some letter fom disney yesterday and i saw that there are 31 persons in decmber, well, i only have page 1/4 and 4/4 and it only had ppl from norway, germany and italy on there.
i'll get an insurance from the adac( i dont think there are anywhere but germany) and they seem pretty good.....so anyway....
i was thinking about packing some stuff now as well, but i just cant as long as i ahvent received my visa....cuz until then it wont be real for me ...........

Hi Daniela! I know what you mean about waiting! Me and Helen have been waiting since the beginning of March adn now its finnaly getting closer!

So it looks like there are people from Norway, Germany, Italy, Canada and the UK arriving that day. Are there any other countries ive missed off??

I think thats all countries who arrived at 6th december in Orlando, but i`m not sure. I have also get a letter from the Disney company with all Names who arrived at 6th december. I have my embassy appointment on 17th november. I´m so nervous...)) Nice greetz

WHAT'S THIS ABOUT THE LETTER FROM DISNEY?? I HAVEN'T RECEIVED ANY LETTER. IT SOUNDS INTERESTING. I WONDER WHERE I CAN GET IT? YOU GIRLS SOUND SO ORGANIZED WITH YOUR LISTS. I WANT TO START GETTING READY TOO, I BETTER START LOOKING AT DISNEYS LISTS AGAIN. I DON'T KNOW WHERE I'M FLYING FROM YET BECAUSE I DON'T HAVE TO GET A VISA SINCE I'VE GOT U.S. CITIZENSHIP TOO. WHERE ARE YOU GUYS FLYING FROM? HOPE MAYBE THEY HAVE US MEET SOMEWHERE IN EUROPE AND THEN FLY TO ORLANDO TOGETHER. THAT IS COOL.
I'VE GOTTEN MY INSURANCE ALREADY. I GOT IT FROM THE COMPANY DISNEY RECOMMENDED IN FRANCE FOR US ITALIANS. IT LOOKS OK. LET'S HOPE NONE OF US NEED IT!!

I get the letter since last Week. You need it for the embassy! One page is with informations and a internetpage where you can fill out the DS156 form, who is also for the embassy. Like a lot of paperwork....)) The other 2 pages are with all names who like to have a visa for Florida...all names with their birthdays and countries...its very interesting to look who is flying with you...*ggg* Nice greetz from Germany Daniela )

 

Well if there are only 31 people arriving in December, 9 of them are from the UK! Also there's at least 1 person from Japan.

 

Its getting closer guys!!!!!!!
