How is everyone doing?? Its getting a lot closer now, going for the visas next month!!, I have so many nights out sorted  for leaving parties its just making me think that is not far away only 9 weeks. (what a social life I have in Nov lol can't wait)

@Auzzie - give them a ring It won't hurt - 'no news is good news'  GOOD LUCK!!

@Brad - I think its a good idea to drive, you will probably hate the long trip but it will be worth it to have the car with you for the year!! If I had that option I think I would drive - shame I don't lol

@CANADIAN PEOPLE!! IT'S SO COOL THAT A LOT OF YOU COME FROM EASTERN CANADA BECAUSE I'VE SPENT THE LAST 19 YEARS (SINCE I WAS BORN!!!!) IN VERMONT AND MAINE IN THE SUMMER WITH MY RELATIVES AND FRIENDS! MY MOM COMES FROM VERMONT. I'D LOVE TO SEE CANADA...MY FAMILY HAS LOTS OF RELATIVES AND FRIENDS ALL ALONG THE EAST USA COAST...SO MAYBE SOME DAY WE CAN TRAVEL IT TOGETHER (AND USE ALL THOSE NICE PEOPLE AS PLACES TO STAY AND TOUR GUIDES!!!) AND SHOW YOU VERMONT AND YOU CAN SHOW ME CANADA!!! JUST LAST AUGUST MY MOM AND DAD DROVE FROM MY UNCLE'S IN SOUTH FLORIDA TO VERMONT!!! THEY SAID IT WAS SO COOL TO SEE THE COUNTRY THAT WAY! MY MOM SAYS THAT MONTREAL IS INCREDIBLE AND MY GRANDFATHER AND HIS WIFE GO TO NOVA SCOTIA ALMOST EVERY YEAR!! WOW, FOLKS! THERE'S ALSO MY UNCLE AND HIS FAMILY TO VISIT IN JUPITER, FLORIDA...ONLY A FEW HOURS FROM ORLANDO!! WE'VE GOT TOO MANY THINGS TO DO AND TOO LITTLE TIME TO WORK! I'M JUST JOKING.

@MANDY--YOU KNOW I'VE VISITED GERMANY TOO. 4 YEARS AGO MY FAMILY AND I DROVE TO VISIT FRIENDS WHO LIVE IN FINLAND...WE DROVE THROUGH GERMANY AND STAYED IN BIBERACH AND KASSEL AND LUBECK...BEAUTIFUL CITIES AND THE PEOPLE WERE ALL REAL NICE.

@ Jacopo - I bought my health insurance a while ago But I still havent received my pkg in the mail from Disney, (bc Im from canada, they said we don't get it until like a month before!! ) so Im not sure what ur talkin about faxing off a form??
and btw, Im not single The pic I have there is me and my bf of a yr ;D

 

I'll be working in Food and Beverage. Kinda scared though, bad McDonald's experiences! Although this is a real restaurant.

seems like we are all getting excited baout going now since its not much time anymore.....we start writting more*lol*

well, jaco, its cool that u have family like al around the east coast....definately count me in for the travelling
i absolutely love to travel....its like my nr.1 hobby ....if i had more money i'd travel around the world for a year or two.
but i have to admitt that i'v never been to italy before....my aunt has ans she said its beautiful....so jaco, if i like u and we become friends i'll be down there*lol*
@sheri: i got my package already but dont expect anything special....the only thing are the stickers....but you HAVE to put them on you luggage :-(....i was about to put them in my lil fotoalbum but then i read the note...i was kinda mad*lol*

@jaco: if ur talking about that acknoledgement form then i ahvent faxed mine yet...gotta find a fax machine soemwhere...maybe i'll go back to my school and ask them to fax it for me

oh, i forgot to tell.....my hostfamily lives in arkansas and i ahve a "aunt" who lives near kansas city....so there might be a couple more places to visit........and i ahve to admit that arkansas is a very beautiful state....i absolutely love it and the southern accent is just sooooooo cool

@brad: since ur coming down with ur car....u know....you could like....pick a few of us up at the aiport and we all are gonna go shopping at walmart*lol*...cant wait to eat cheese sticks*love'em*

do ya'll already know when u'll arrive at orlando airport??? i will at......arghhhhh....my mom put away that letter so i dont have to look for it laterb ut now i cant find it....i think its like 7:45pm......

Yeah, a Walmart trip may be a possiblilty. But why do people get so excited about Walmart, I mean it's just a store. I know they have everything, but we can go to Walmart here at home. Anyways, very excited to be ready. Also, we get our information in November correct? Or has anyone got it yet?

They never called, but I did just get an email talking about how soon they would send out visa information etc regarding our arrival and confirming our offer (which I never got) at Disney.
So I am confused as to whether I got in or not. I am assuming I did now, but I sent them an email to check.
If this is the way I find out, it's a real let down!
I don't know whether to be excited or not..

Anyways, just had to whinge!! Not very Disney of me! Will be happier once I find out for sure.

But if I do go, I will actually be there 9 days before you all will...

the more i read ya'lls posts, the more i get excited

@Jacopo: well, i usually go to bed around 10.30-11.00pm and get up around 8.30am....so, i guess thats alot of sleep, well for e it is....then i usually watch the news and then i check my emails and this forum around 9.30am!
then sometimes i go to work....today its just 2hrs :-( and then i do sth with my friends, like watch movies, go out for dinner( we went to an american restaurant the other day...they had cheese sticks, which u normally cant buy here in germany)....they were so good ....i've been quite( is that the right q-word) busy the last few weeks....but i still get enough sleep...well, sorta*lol*
. oh by the way, its been my dream since i was litlle to go to australia, so it'd be awesome to go....hey maybe it'll work out someday ....one of my friends is in california right now( near l.a.) and i was going to visit her or my other freind who is in san francisko right now soemtime in may or june. ant wait to go there ....meet my freinds froms school

@Brad: i dont know what it is about walmart, its just that everyone else is crazy about it and when i read all the posts it remembered me of my first night at walmart, when my friends and i would try on weird ahts an i would by a bunch of movies( cuz i love to watch them in the original version, not in german)...so i guess thats why

@Jay:call them!!!!!you'll be in, for sure!!!!....so will you be able to afford that program now, cuz u said something some time ag about not knowing at that point how to afford it?!
@sheri: i'll be working at the german pavillion....yeah, cant wait to wear this dress...its so not typical for germany( its bavarian, a stae of germany)....but its ok,i guess . the acknoledgement form is some paper....ok, i gotta go and look it up.....its a paper to confirm all the information, like when u start and when the program ends for you and all that stuff....its says to send it off asap, but since i got my package in june i ahvent looked at it since last week ....is there a candian pavillion
or will you work in one of the other parks??

in my first two weeks i spent about $250 in Walmart, i never want to go there again, there is too much to buy! And its just a pain getting the bus and losing your bags underneath! Taxi to PUblix anyone?!

 

So the top tip from Chris is take plenty on money on the 1st wallmart trip!!!
( and take plenty of ppl with ya to help carry the bags ;D)

I work for ASDA in the UK so I have an ASDA/WALMART discount card and I get 10% off my shopping ;D I get the feeling Im gonna be popular!

Long time since I have been on the boards :-\ It has been crazy busy here at work! Oh well, I still can't wait until we all leave for Disney So has anyone started packing yet? I think I may start some time this week, at least my summer clothing, because I don't think we are going to get anymore warm weather here in Canada
