Laptops and Mobiles?

Finally I got Dell Vostro 1310 but spec is a bit lower than what I post before but I get upgrade warranty for 3 years and for Worldwide instead.

you can take whatever u want to the usa.. as long as it is well packed... and if u take it with you in the plane.... make sure it is not any chemicals.... other than that take ur laptop, im taking mine. leave ur mobile at home, it will be useless.... u can get one in walmart for 20 dollars.

 

I took my UK mobile with me using it to contact people at home and you can still phone americans from it (something we found out yday ) it just costs a little bit more. Also if your American phone stops working (which mine did) then you can use your UK phone to do some stuff. You might regret not taking it with you if you need to contact someone at home and you don't have an international phone card and they aren't near a computer for skype, fb, instant messaging etc etc.

 

im taking my uk mobile but iv had it unblocked so i can put my us sim card in. i have a friend that did this and it worked.

 

my phone likes to mess me around so i shall be leaving it at home! it really doesn't like me

I reeeally want to bring a laptop! Problem is..I don't have one. I'm trying to convince my little brother to let me borrow his..for a year. We'll see how that goes..

haha that really is good! im trying to get hold of a laptop too and its not going well, i wouldnt even bother to ask my bro for his, my guess is hed tell me where to go...

 

I've been looking around tonight at mobiles cells just out of curiosity. I don't think I want to go pay as you go if I can avoid it, as I am crap and end up spending loads ;D The only company I found who you can go contract with for a year is Verizon Wireless. All the others you have to be in for a year... d'oh!

 

For those looking for a laptop should maybe look here. It's crap but if you only want it for emailing and surfing the net then it may be worth a punt at £150?

I have called O2 today who tell me my contract
finishes in Aug 09 and i so wanted to cancel and get a pay as you go in
the US.They said i can pay 3 months line rental up front
total is £60 to get out of it,is it worth it to have piece of mind
and not to be tied up into a 18 mth contract again?
any advice you guys?
