I got my visa back today, well, sort of. I put down my work address and it arrived at work today. My assistant manager signed for it for me but because I haven't personally had it yet, I'm not counting it as being here (does that make sense?) I'm gonna go collect it tomorrow. It seems really fast! I only had the interview on Friday!

Yeah, River Country was cool! I never knew why they suddenly closed it down.

i have my visa appointment on july 15th so i have my visa not yet
but i am counting the days i'll fly out, i will fly out on july 24h to miami, i am soooo excited

yes i am starting on 29th too... but another crp and i decided to visit miami, and the cheapest flight was on 24th...
and its really good to lose our jetlag and we want to get brown skin =)
but i really cant wait to get to know you all

and by the way, to the girls of us: i made an overview today of what i will take to orlando and what not (clothes)
and i counted 7 pairs of shoes, and i was like WHAT? i am not such a girly girl, but the number of shoes made me feel a bit to girly^^
so pleeeeeeeease, girls, tell me you will bring with so many shoes too

 

yo tiffany, i am not taking soo many shoes.actually i am taking a pair of rocketdog black open style shoes for my traditions day and i am travelling in birkenstock flip flops. they are the only shoes. i am a massive fan of buying trainers and everything so i am going to start a new collection when i get there.
i am travelling very light because i dont want to go over the weight limit at the airport.

hm maybe i will let some of them here... but i will take with less on tshirts and stuff so maybe there is enough space for shoes =) maybe i am a girly girl and i dont know it yet^^

 

Tiff, i will try no to bring many shoes, but i love shoes and i havent start thinking what shoes will i get over there.... but i will try the basics, a sneakers, shoes for traditions, sandals, flip flops, black flats, and maybe a pair of hills?, well thats what i think, but i dont know what i will do when i start to check all my shoes i will want all of them with me!!!!

im trying to take juts the basics cuz im a shopaholic! hahaha so i need space to all the new cloths and shoes i will buy!!!! hahahahaha

 

oh you are so right, maybe i have to say good bye to some of my shoes, especially because i would like to have just one bag and not two, but i have to see how it works, and dont want to pack at least one week before...

one question, do we need nice outfits for traditions for two days or more?! i dont really have "business" outfits, so i have to buy it..

 

yes, i have only been thinking in what to take but i wll pack hours before! i know me! jajajaja

as i know traditions is only one day, so one outfit will be good

hey. havent been on here in a while! i see most of you have been to your visa appointment. i have mine on thursday 10th. have you all sorted medical insurance yet? someone mentioned yummy jobs do it, they have 4 different coverage options. which one have you guys gone with? not long now till we go!!!!!!! ;D

hi adam,not done my medical insurance but am doing it 2moro through yummyjobs.if u go on the website it gives a link to it. yeh had the visa app. its all gone through.make sure u get there early!!

Has anyone paid thier housing assesment fee yet? Who do you pay it to? It's the first I've heard of it! I REALLY need to reread the literature!

you just have to go on a website and you have to give them a credti card number to pay it...


by the way, girls, i bought vacuum bags, hopefully you are right and there will be more space

 

omg i completely forgt about the housing assement thing... BUGGER! lol

 

yeh i totally forgot about that! michele phoned me today and jus asked about visa etc and whether i had payed the fee and i was like errr no :s it looks like thats coming out of my waes when i next get payed too!
does anyone know how much it will be and what the webste is where we pay it?
