It's not as bad as it sounds though, its expensive, but not as expensive as you might think due to the fact that the average pay in Norway is pretty high

Looking at my Countdown clock, i'm at 96 days left and time sure is starting to go quick.

Doesn't look like i'm going to find a short term job for a couple of months but that's not the end of the world. It's just a pain that we've got to wait about 30 days before leaving before going to the embassy when i could get all that done now.

In a week or so and i get some money i'm going to buy my insurance. Around £170 and then a room for the 2 nights when i arrive. Probably end up going with the comfort Inn at buena Vista at $51 a night as that's not a bad price although they have been offering rooms as low as $32.

Sounds odd but i'm also now thinking about what i want to do after the Program. The UK economy could be as bad as it now and employers won't be hiring, so i'm looking at my options. I really want to find a job that i ENJOY and work my way up in.

I'd like to have a job where i can use the same enthusiasm as i will to Disney but with the UK being so miserable they seem to think your from another planet when you talk with a smile and actually want to be helpful :p

Weeell I wouldn't say that goes for all of us, I have a really bad pay but at least it's money. It's really depending on what kinda job you get

I'm not saying my pay is good atm either, but air faires aint put up after what you and me earn as students (i just took a wild guess). 700 € aprox a month is what I live on atm, trying desperatly to find a job atm tho. Not that easy tho.

As a Norwegian I feel compelled to ask why, good sir?
(I don't mind. In fact, if your profile info checks out, I would trade a limb for your accent)

  15. I did a program for disney a while back, my roommate was norwegian, I went out with a norwegian- basically all i did was hang out with norwegians and i found them all just the most funniest most kindest people in the world. I actually got made a honorary norwegian for life by them lol. They even gave me a epcot norwegian uniform, i still have it!

And thank you, i would trade a limb to be able to speak norwegian ;)

I don't know if that question is directed at me or jim, but I'd trade it for a rabbit's foot. Who said anything about my very own limbs? :p

Hey question to you July 14th arrival people..do you know what time you are actually getting to the housing?? I found a cheap flight from Seattle to get to Orlando..but it gets there at like 7am..and thats really early! But the other flights are like 50 bucks more expensive..I don't know what to do! If anyone else could let me know what they are doing that might help me make my decision! Thanks :)

I arrive at about 2pm in Orlando, so I won't be getting there until late afternoon. But I bet the desk opens at around 9am, and getting there early isn't such a bad thing. You'll have the whole day to explore then!
