Just opened my post and i've got a letter from Disney Worldwide Services Inc. Looks like it was meant to come with the welcome pack. All the info is fine but one thing caught my eye

'This position requires your commitment to work for a period beginning 7/18/ 2009 through 7/9/2010. Your arrival date in the United States is 7/14/2009. Starting rate of pay is $7.85'

Does this mean we actually start work on the 18th July or Training begins on 18th July. I'll feel a bit silly if i arrive in the US on the 12th only to find that Disney are giving us 4 days to settle in anyway

you train during those couple of days. and then you start work. my gf had training one day and 2 days off i think before she started work.

    Makes sense.

I think i'm keeping pretty organized so far. Things like a hotel i will book nearer the time incase anyone else wants to share. Mears cab i'll book few days before leaving.

As Yummy Jobs have my criminal background papers ect i wonder whether they'll get back to me quickish so i can sort the embassy meeting soon or wait much nearer to leaving

I just looked on mears, would you get dropped off at chatham square or vista way apartments?

Thats the options it gave me, i suppose either is good? it's in the general direction anyway.

Doubt it really matters as i think they're only a short walk apart. You going early Jess, as i think Disney collect you if you arrive on your arrival date.

I need to get a hotel in Buena Vista for 2 nights as i'm going early. Apparently BV is right next to our Disney Apartments so not far to move on the day

If you arriving on your arrival date, you'll have to go to Vista. That's where the Welcome Centre is. At least, that's what my email from Disney said! So I presume it'll be the same for all CRP's.

It was £513 on STA Travel, including tax. Cheapest I could get, we deffo have an expensive leaving date with it being so close to school summer holidays. At the moment the flight is at £516 I think.

I'm flying out on the 12th from Gatwick (start date 14th) with Virgin Atlantic. My flight cost £447 through STA Travel.

Cheaper than a return flight but like Joanne Said, our flights are expensive as we're flying out the busiest time of year
