    Things are motoring along :)

I finished a full first draft of my cover letter last night. It will probably be chopped and changed over the next six weeks (certainly don't see it staying exactly as it is, though) and I will be altering my CV for Disney purposes too.

Have also started to read a few books that I have at home to refresh my memory about the history of WDW. What other things should I read up on?

Lots of the blogs I've found are good too and they are really helping to educate me about the programme.

You know there isn't a knowledge test to get onto the program, right? ;)
Seriously, the only time you need any kind of actual Disney knowledge (as opposed to just customer service knowledge) is at the presentation before the F2F, and even then there are only a couple of questions that don't mean anything anyway. Don't worry too much about 'learning' stuff.

I'd personally be all for a WDW knowledge test as a way to choose the people who get on the program, because I'd be already there if they did that ;D

I know, but I feel like I have to surround myself with all things WDW at the moment and books, DVDs, YouTube and music is the best way to do that.

disney knowledge comes in handy if you get on the crp as you get questions at traditions and win plastic disney figures for getting them right lol

I dont really know what else you can do to prepare - maybe read through the back forums and have a look at some of the questions that get asked at phone onterviews?

yeah i'm determined to get back, i'm hoping persistance is the key lol, although i'm getting used to being rejected. I'm not sure what to put in my cover letter though :S x

That's the thing, I seriously wish they'd give feedback because I have no idea what they wanted that I didn't put in my letter/cv. So frustrating, but I guess they literally can pick and choose who they want, just gotta think guys, they are basing their opinion of you on just a cover letter, really go for it!! :)

Hi Kandi :) oh my gosh 4th time applying? Good luck with this one...I really hope you get in (surely you should get some credit for persistence!)
I agree, it's difficult to know what they want because I've read of some people who got in without even doing a cover letter! But I'm definitely going to do one because I think if I didn't and I don't get a phone interview I'll just think it's because I didn't do a cover letter. And then blame myself!
What is anyone putting in the motivation box? I don't want to repeat myself in my cover letter but I can't work out how to split it up exactly.

I was on the ICP in 2010 too! And in attractions!

I really really really really really really really want to apply this year, I'll be waiting to send off my application the second January 1 hits but my main concern is leaving my girlfriend for a year.

We did the ICP in 2010 together and it really was the time of our lives (a phrase fitting for our time at Disney) and I'm trying to convince her to go again. Naturally I won't force her to go but I don't want to miss out on this opportunity. I applied for ICP for 2011 and didn't get it, she worked at Disney's Hilton Head Island resort for the summer and I worked at a camp in Wisconsin. The three months apart was fine but is a year too long?! I don't knooooooooooww?!

I'm going to apply this year (i applied to the ICP but didnt get it and im graduating this year so wont be able to apply for that next year) but my only concern is that its a year. I have been with my bf for 5 years now and a year apart seems so long. but the thing is i bet it will go by so quickly! and i dont want to miss out on this. im sure a year apart wont be so bad cos theres things like skype nowadays! and she can come out and visit you??
