I'm so jealous that you're there already but we will be joining you in 3 months.

 

I knoooooooooow!!!!! I was originally applying for July 15th but then I realized I couldnt get the money so quickly so I decided for October... and then, last week (I work at an Airline) there was this passenger travelling to Orlando.. and I asked for his visa to check everything was correct and it said J1-VISA WDW HOSPITALITY and I went like "You are going to the Disney Hospitality Program, aren't you?!?!?" and the guy was like ??? YEAH.. haha OMG! I was sooo jealous!!! haha then I spent the rest of the time looking forward to October 7th hahaha!

Louise.. about my flight.. I have booked it, but I havent payed it haha! to be honest, it had taken sooo long for the Mexican reps to contact us that I kept thinking MAYBE IT WAS A MISTAKE.. MAYBE IM NOT IN! so i kept waiting and waiting.. hahaha! now that we've finally started paperwork I think i'll get my airplane tickets next week just after I get my paycheck and I might buy my insurance tomorow!! YAAAAY! It definetely feels REAL NOW!

Wooow!! tell us about it!!! I got Resort too (Dont know which one yet) but im definetely curious about the job.. I worked at MK last year and I fear working at a resort might not be as fun.. ??? so pleeeease!! tell meee hehe

 

OK so heres an update soon as I havent had much chance to get on the PC.


I dont see how the UCF thing fits with Disney. Disney just put you on a cash register while UCF teach you how to manage. There's no middle ground, its polar opposites. But I expected that anyway.

Other than that the programs good, we havent started UCF yet until next week, but I liked the orientation day at my resort, but HATING the Disney University Training.

But once thats over thumbs up.

well i had an email asking to send a copy of my driving licence, and no one else has had it. so i'm trying to figure out if theyre going to put me on that?

 

it prob means they want you to drive a jeep or one of theose trams that ferry people from the parking lot.

 

Yeah,, it's sort of what i expect too.. I can picture myself standing at frontdesk on the register.. and answering the phone every once in a while haha

Anywayz.. i rather doing that than dealing with angry passengers after oversold summer flights! ;D

 

Yeah the training is not so fun like traditions and merchantainment. But at least you get paid for it. I bet the weather is so nice compared to rainy England. I'm not looking forward to having to do all the training again but oh well. It has to be done.

 

Yeah.. i know it's not as fun.. but still it gets me kinda excited.. You know, going to my first trainning day, getting my new nametag with my EARNING MY EARS sticker just the whole process of being a cast member again sounds great to me hehe

 

Oh yeah can't wait until I get my namebadge. I lost mine after 2 weeks last summer and was Alysia for the rest of the summer. I will have to be more careful this time.

I`m so glad to see that there are others as excited as me out there! My own friends are beginning to grow tired of me talking about Disney this and Florida that. I`ll be in for Merchandise, I am really hoping for Magic Kingdom in the Splash Mountain shop with the photos! Just because that`s my favorite ride and I`ve got loads of those photos already! But I`ll really be happy working anywhere I think! After all it is DISNEY! Where is everyone else hoping to work at?

So did everyone get the email from yummy jobs? I'm sad and counted that there are 60 people going. Didn't really think it would be that many and it means we can have some good parties.

Las year I got to work at MK on Food and Beverage on Frontierland so I was quite close to Splash Mountain haha! one of my best friends used to work at the SM photoshop

Yeah I was suprised that there are that many people from the UK going. They sent an email with everyones email addresses on it so I counted them all. 20 isn't too bad hopefully we will all be living in the same complex.

if u think they had 3 interview days, with about 35 on each one...

and pretty sure most got onto it
