The only reason i have been able to book my flights is because i have had to cancel my holiday to be able to go on this program, so all the money i had to pay towards my holiday (the balance was due next week) has paid for my flight instead. Will get insurance when i get paid on friday and then, any money i save after that should cover everything else. I may have had to canel my holiday but at least its given me the money to book things earlier when they are cheaper which is cool, though gutted i can't go on holiday.

Yeah thats annoying you had to cancel your holiday but i'm sure it'll be worth it once we are all in Florida.

Well at least you've started getting things done!! the Mexican rep just told us that we "might" start in about a month!! I know it must seem like a pain for you to fill out forms and look for insurance.. but at least it must feel real to you... so far to me it's so surreal to think about going back to Disney cuz we haven't done a thing to make it feel real... :-[ dont get me wrong, im sooooooo excited but.. i wanna get started NOOOOW!!

I havent thought about insurance at all! Hoping to book the flight in a few days! Soo much money is needed... Im on the hunt for a little summer job!! Im going to Florida in a few weeks with my family, we're going to pop along to Walmart and add up the cost of everything I'll need to buy! Also thinking i might buy an american phone and some american hair straighteners! :D

Wow you're lucky going to florida on holiday too. I'm so jealous. Buying an american phone is definately a good idea. I just got the cheapest which was about $40 with credit. So I will be taking that one back again. It's really funny though because everyone in my flat ended up with the same phone. I think the main thing that you need to buy is bedding which was about $50 if i can remember correctly. I could be wrong. The first trip to walmart will be pretty expensive. I didn't even buy much food.

i'm thinking of taking my bedding in my suitcase - shouldn't take up to much room if i get some of those vacumn bags! Plus there no why i fill two suitcases. if it wasn't for my printer and tv i would have been able to move everything back from uni in two suitcases, and i woundn't be taking most of the junk i have at uni either.

I definetly will be getting at least a sim card for my phone as its us compatible, and i know my ghd's worked with my adapter when i was lst over there.

I was guna use some vaccum bags, but i was worried that they wouldn't be allowed..And it could cause problems if they decide to rip them open which they do with alot of things!

Really you managed to fit pretty much all ur uni stuff in suitcases. I needed 2 cars lol. I don't generally pack light but i'm sure i'll manage.

its cos i don't have the room for any clutter - my room is tiny. With regards to vacum bags i used them when going over before for my bathrobe and they didn't rip it open, as long as you only have one thing in it they will not have any problem x-raying!

Also have checked with STA re pre exisiting medical conditions and they can't cover me, so i will have to take out the endsleigh policy.

Mine was 29usd with 20dollars credit hehe.. it's a big nokia.. and it was like the official cast member cellphone hahaha if the phone rang at the bus.. everyone would be checking their cell hahahaha..

About the bedding.. i think this time around i'll take it with me, I decided to take a bigger suitcase so it should fit in it so that i dont have to spend so much on my first visit to Walmart.. besides, when i came back my 2 bigger suitcases were completely full and weighed together around 45kilos and we're supposed to be allowed to take 2 suitcases no heavier than 64kilos.. the last time i had to take one extra suitcase which cost me $100usd!!!! so this time i figured i shouldnt spare a single kilo hahahaha

Im going to find it soo difficult packing, I have about 5 cases of clothes at uni, then loooads of other stuff on top of that! Can we pay extra to take another suitcase??

Yeah you can..The price all depends on the airline tho!

It usually is no cheaper than 100usd per piece!!
My recommendation: don't take ALL of your clothes with you.. There'll be a lot of sales in the US (Columbus Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving..) and you'll get LOADS of brand new clothes.. ;) at least i did hehe... when i came back home, i had to leave jeans, shirts, shoes behind cuz i couldnt fit them anymore on my suitcases :(
