J1 College Academic Program (Hospitality Management) arriving Oct 7th

No exams for me in almost 2 glourious years haha!! I graduated on December 2005 so I was a bit nervous about going back to homework and exams... YAAAY!! IM SO HAPPY I WONT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT THEM ANYMORE!!

 

had my last one today, and then literally had to come straight from it, down to london. fun fun fun. i'll be celebrating tomorrow night tho

mine went really well i think. we went in in pairs and we kind of bounced off each other. we wanted to show we could work with others, so didnt just make it a one on one with someone else there. we made comments on each others answers. so i think we came across well.

plus i won a prize! yay! tho i thought it'd be difficult questions. not 'name the 4 theme parks in disney world'! lol

Oooh that was you!! lol!! Mine also went fine, went in with my friend and we found it a bit weird to be honest but seemed to go OK. When she saw I'd done the ICP it became more of a conversation than an interview so I'm taking that as a good sign

I think disney interviews are the best interviews, there so chilled out n laid back..

I'm guessing not having your birth certificate wasn't a problem then?

Just to make you all feel better, it didn't even take them 2 days to get back to me..I was pulling my hair out in that time..

But just thought i'd reassure you all that they can pretty much get back intouch with an answer as soon as tomorrow!

and yeah the birth certificate didnt seem to be a problem. just said to email it at a later date.

i am already checking my email every two minutes. despite them not finishing the interviews yet! lol

they'll probably take a month now!!

ABSOLUTELY!!!! I've had a lot of job interviews this past 2 years and I've never enjoyed interviews as much as both Disney ones hehe...

Definetely!!! it was the same for me!!! my interviewer Julie, as soon as she brought up the fact that i had been on the ICP program before, made it so much easier for me!! we laughed our butts off when talking bout everyday-cast member experiences so it became more like a regular conversation than an interview!! I'm sure you did great!!!

So.. did they tell you when they'd let you know????

 

Yummy told me it would be 2-3 weeks but hopefully much sooner so I don't think it will be too long til they let us know. The last day of interviews is tuesday so it won't be before then.
It sounds like everyone did ok though so hopefully when we do hear it will be good news! I'm glad I'll be working everyday now that uni is over or I'd be constantly watching my phone & checking my email!!!

 

Yeah they said 2-3 weeks last time but we didn't have to wait too long. So i'll have my fingers crossed for you until you hear.

 

Lol no that wasn't me, I was the girl with the blue wheelie suitcase!! Full of revision stuff that I looked at for 20 minutes all day

 

Ooookaaay!!! it's Tuesday!!! I think that from today on.. we might start getting some acceptance e-mails!! yaaaay!!!

Scarlet I just noticed that your countdown says 4 months. I hadn't even noticed it was getting close since when I was accepted it was going to be 6 months of waiting.

 

haha i knoooow!!! when i first got accepted i cried when thinking of waiting 5 months..next week it will be 3 months and X days which really gets me excited!!!
I keep going to bed thinking of the day before leaving.. woow!! i can't wait to do it all over again!!!
By the way.. for everyone who just had their interviews.. i think you hae greeeat chances!! mexico is opening their applications again for october next month..which means they're looking for a whoooooooole lot more people so dont worry... you're all sooo in!!!

I can't believe I can finally start planning to go and post in the accepted forum without crossing my fingers!!
