WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! I am going on AUG 19th to the Canadian Pavilion!!! I am driving up from London Ontario a couple of days early... and I will be working in Merch!!! I am pumped to spend a year at DISNEY!!!!!!

I have a couple of questions if anyone knows the answers:

1) If I bring a laptop, do our rooms have internet?
2) If I bring my car, do I have to get my plates changed? a new licence?
3) What are the discounts for the Disney Cruise for family?
4) Should I bring bedding????

Hey! I'm heading down July 15th... but I know the answers to some of your questions!

1) Yes, the rooms do have internet you can connect to (with a cable).
2) Yes, you will have to get a new liscence, plates (registration), and US insurance. I don't know prices or how/where to get this, but I'm bringing my car so I'll be figuring it all out soon!
4) Yes, you will need bedding. There's a full packing list on the site (see the sidebar) that's really helpful if you don't know what you'll need to bring.

Hey everyone!

I just had my date moved to August 19th! I was originally accepted for July 15th (I was on the waiting list), but it wasn't enough time for them to get the VISA, so Yummy pushed my date back. It's good because it gives me some more time to get things organized.

So I guess I should introduce myself, I'm Rebecca and I'll be working at the Cdn Pavillion for F&B and I'm from a small town about an hour from Toronto ON.

I haven't booked a flight yet, but from the thread, it seems like a lot of you are going down early, is there a consensus on plans? lol I need to be brought up to speed!

hi guys...i havnt been on in awhile but our date is coming up really fast. its kinda scary lol but i was wandering if were all still getting together the night before we start on the 19th?? i was talking to someone about that a little while ago and just wandered if that was still happening or not.

 

me and some guys from germany will arrive on the 18th at 11.30 pm.
we wanna stay at a hotel for the night, but we arent sure about what hotel right now.
where are you guys staying at?

Yay! Finally my I-797B is here! Now I can go to the embassy and know my departure wont be delayed

 

i got mines yesterday too. the earliest appointment at the embassy was on august 11th though, which is a little bit late. but i hope everything will work out fine.

I've got my appointment on august 8th. But the embassy here is pretty full too... I must admit that I was a bit naughty and booked my appointment before the papers arrived I didn't want my departure to be pushed back

when i booked my appointment i needed the receipt number from the I-797?
otherwise i would have booked mine earlier too.

hey. on your ds-156 did you put in 12 or 13 months, for the time you wanna stay there?
i did put in 12 months, but actually i wanna stay there a little longer arround a bit after wdw!

 

hey coco, its different in germany,now you need the number on the 797 ... some years ago you could lie to the embassy too... but they changed it

and i put 13 month in it

 

I wrote 12 months, but I believe the Q1 visa is valid for 13 months anyway

I managed to book the appointment because I filled out the DS156 online and got a code to book the appointment then...
