Is any one going on the 19th August??!!

hey there cinders, it really doesn't matter that some of us are doing different programs we may even end up living at the same place no ones knows until we get there. if we were all to go on the same day (19th) then we would all get picked up at the airport and go from there (to relevent housing). well I'm from Newcastle any way, where are you from? which airport would you be going from.

 

I'm from all over! Living between Nottingham and Stratford Upon Avon at the mo. I think we'l probs end up goin out seperately 'cause I know Hannah has already booked her flight and also I was planning on goin on th actual day of the 19th , probs a few days earlier

i think we'll arrive on the 17th aug and stay 2 nights in a hotel if anyone is thinking about the same maybe we can stay in the same hotel?!

 

I have booked into the Best Western Lake Buena Vista... its just next to dtd on hotel plaza.

i was originally planning to go out on the 19th but if most are goin out a few days before then im tempted to do the same...
That bein said, like 30 people from my uni were given offers so i guess a bunch will probably be going on the 19th. Although i dont know any of the people goin! lol

 

Im going on the 14th... My flight was £510 from Lastminute.com.... and thats direct with Virgin which is pretty good as the same flight was £670 on Expedia. Then my hotel was £270 and that was from Expedia.

i'm confused, disney will pick us up at the Orlando international airport (MCO)?! or do we have to fly down to the disney "airport"?

 

If you go on the 19th then disney will provide a bus for you to Lake Buena Vista... if you go early then you have to make your own way there..... a taxi from the airport is $40 +tip

 

I'm thinking of flying out on the 14th or 15th so Hannah you and I should get together and hang out... if you don't have plans already!!!

 

My only plan for that week is to go shopping at Old Navy (we dont have it here and its my fave store!) so apart from that... I have nothing else planned!

so i think that Hannah should be left in charge in organising some thing for when we get there. i do believe that i will fly out on the 18th August i would like to go out on the 17th but i think it will be the 18th. i cant believe that its only 4 months and 3 weekish until we will be there, cant wait. does any one know of any good insurance sites? so i am really lost at the min, i have getten an email from yummy jobs today from Jason and it says that:

Resham emailed you all back last season to let you know that your Disney arrival date had changed to August 17th 2008 and a program end date of August 14th 2009. We wanted to be sure you remembered and also remind you to go ahead and book your flexible ticket with STA Travel in Oxford, as per your Step by Step guide.

the reason why i am lost is because the email that she sent me ages ago was for the 19th august and not the 17th. has any one else had this email? it is really easy to confuse me aswell!!! if this is correct thats twice that they have changed my date which is anoying me alittle.

 

I think its probably a typo either on Jasons part or on Reshams part back when she emailed us.
Best to get in touch with them and find out though.

Oh and i thought I would make a facebook group for all us August people so its easier to see who's who.
I named it Walt Disney World August 2008!
So if anyone wants to join then have a look for it on facebook.
Thought it would be a better way to get to know everyone, and to plan stuff! hehe

Seanny thats really confusing! I'd say just give them a call to find out what's happening, 'cause that way you'll know for sure rather than risk them emailing you again with another typo & endup booking flights for the wrong day! On the flight matter I am still really not knowing when to fly over!! I'm really keen on a little group of us going together if that is poss 'cause ppl in th best seem to have benefited from that, Seany r u thinking of flying on th 19th? (If that is your start date!) 'Cause I didnt realise before that u can actually fly on that date, I thought that was your actual first day! Or is anyone thinking of flying on that day?!

I think i'm gonna end up flying out the day before.
So if its the 19th then I'll be flying out on the 18th.

If people decide to go the night before.. could all just crash at mine then all leave for the complex's the next day 2gether.... then one we are all moved in... that will be it till the next day.
