Interview RESULTS!

Lol, things keep hitting me about what I am now going to do, really weird.

Haha I have loads of coursework to do which was planned for tomorrow - odnt think thats going to happen now!

I am teaching some kids swimming tomorrow - will definately mention it there!! Haha this is awesome!

I'm suprised at how many people didnt get it. I hardly heard of anyone not getting it last year but this year there has been some absolute shockers....

Hope some of you can come visit us - you can meet my best friends Mickey, Minnie and the gang between June 21st (well, a week later probably ) and August 29th!

Leom, fly from wherever is easiest for you, there will be people from everywhere - especially if you book through sta. Gatwick will be heavily populated though! But I know the guys who flew from Manchester really bonded well - they were a smaller group. Flying with people is def a good start to the summer We got an annoucement on the plane - I don't even know how may of us there were!

We should have guessed we'd hear on Thanksgiving eh? Heh

CONGRATULATIONS everyone! I'm so scared about my interview now, it never occurred to me that some of you wouldn't get in.

 

Im so glad you are getting to go back Beth, my original plan was to fly from Manchester but it is just as easy for me to go from London Gatwick cause i can get a quick flight down to London easily. Ill wait and see where everyone else is flying from, are you Gatwick Beth?

Charlotte dont worry, just think about your interview! You will be great im sure.

 

I am dispensing an absolute huge amount of congratulations, well done wishes and good job slap on the back for all those who successfully got what their hearts desired. ;D

To everyone who didn't on the other hand I am so sorry and I really hope u all feel so proud of yourselves for getting this far. Of course I realise that you are probably devastated and this sounds silly but I really do believe in fate and I'm sure you were destined to receive joy in another way although it may not feel like that at this minute.

Everyone on this forum is umbelievably special and unique - things work out for a reason and don't lose heart!

I have my interview in a couple of weeks and am so nervous but im a great believer in what will be will be. Things work out for a reason.

Well done to those of you who have got in, and i'm sorry to those of you who haven't. It seems like a lot of people have applied and I guess they couldn't take on everyone! But don't loose faith, i'm sure you will all be able to work in WDW one day


I'm still waiting for my interview . So I have all this to come, the nerves are starting to kick in now knowing people have heard back already!

 

I just spoke to a friend over there now full-timer and apparently Disney are in fact on a hiring freeze right now. Poor economy, money is tight and they can't actually afford to keep hiring people so I think this is probably a factor in perhaps less places for ICP.
Let's face it CPs are cheap labour over a busy period so they wouldn't stop it altogether (imagine the riot!) but they still need some of us just maybe cutting back.

Of course there are probably more applicants than ever so that is another reason so put them together and it was probably a closely fought year!

In a way it is nice to know, whilst wallowing in student debt, that Disney also have financial issues!

 

yeah my friend whos out there said theyre laying off a lot of cast members soon, though they always need the extras over summer which is where we come in (or at least, i hope!)
interesting that there are no costumers as of yet, hoping that it'll be an option in a couple of weeks!

Yup, I was just about to say that there is a huge hiring freeze in Floriday right now. The economy is really horrible down there at this point, lots of people getting laid off, etc. Here's hoping things get better by next summer!

 

Lets hope, the value of the dollar to the pound is going down rapidly and its going to be worse next year, eek!

 

Hi guys, I was just wondering about the forms we need to take with us. The one we have to fill in and get someone from the uni to sign etc. I dont have Word, I only have works,and when I open it it seems a bit wierd. I was just wondering if its meant to have boxes with First name..... last name etc? or was it not in boxes. I hope that makes sense, I'm just wondering if anyone else had this problem.x

I assume you're talking about the proof of student status form?
Mine weren't in boxes, but in the spaces that were needed to be filled out it had an underline.

Student Name:_________________,_______________,______________

kind of thing, with (surname), (first name), (middle name) under each of the lines.

Does that help at all?

I think its because i'm on works and not word, which I assume the original was on. I deleted the boxes now though so it's ok.
