I'm pretty sure you don't need a crossover cable. I brought the one that came with my Xbox 360 with me in the first place (it wasn't being used) and it worked fine and I don't think it was a crossover.

from what i can gather - yes there are computers there that you can use however there are only a small number and therefore there will always be lots of other people trying to use them,it will be hard to find a free one at times and stuff! not sure how up to date the computers there are or anything. if you are the kind of person who likes to have internet access at any time, and you think it would bug you if you coulnt get online i say to take your laptop.

Heres another question.... in the appartments how many people can use the internet at any one time? Like,if i plug my ethernet cable in can other people plug theres in at the same time or will they have to wait till i take mine out?!

There are probably 10 or 15 computers at vista way you can use for the internet on, about 6 or 7 at the commons and i'm not sure how many at chatham or the trees. Only problem is they obviously have an opening and closing time, so if you wanna check your email after work you wont be able to.

If i can remeber correctly up to 4 people can be connected to the internet (with wires) at any one time. I recommend buying a looong ethernet cable so you can have some space or sit on the sofa while on the internet! You dont all wanna be sat a meter away from it! I got a 5 or 10 meter ethernet cable off ebay for like 3 or 4 pounds!

Chattam has about 6 or 7 the same as the commons..but they really are shocking..like 1995 classics! they are shocking..i'd never even even experienced such awful computers since the start of school!

Don't bank on it..but i had a nice housemate that let me use his laptop when i wanted to..

Yeah not a whole lot of old computers availabe during regural business hours (in Chatham at least) There are also computers available at Epcot but again with opening and closing time (not sure about the other parks).

As said 4 people can plug in at once, but if your room (or a nearby one has an unsecured) has a wireless connection well then thats not a worry.
