    bit of advice.

book the latest slot and you'll be rushed through. 2.30 pm is the latest slot and i was out by 5, only 2 and a half hours later, yet the woman sat next to me left the same time as me and she had been in since 11.30.

And with regards to phones, food and ipods... phones and ipods were put in a plastic bag and you kept them off whilst in there and if they said you weren't alowed them in you left them behind. Food, someone behind me practically had a picnic with her.

Oh and the photo booth in the embassy is broken at the moment so don't leave your photo til last minute!!

you've gone recently and this is what happened? Only the station I'm coming in at doesn't have left luggage so if I can't take my phone then I'm going to have to traipse around trying to some office my Dad's got links with to leave it in! And there's no way I can go without my phone..!

best advice i can give (and ive said it before!) but - go to the embassy in Belfast! It really was so fast there,i was in and out in just over an hour! I guess if you want to make a trip of it and stay a few days in London thats cool but i really do think that having to wait for like4,5 even 6 hours there is pretty crazy,i wouldnt have had the patience!!!!! In Belfast we were not allowed to take phones/ipods etc in at all - if you had them on you you had to hand them in at the security desk on entry and collect them on the way out.

  8. only problem with that is, in the letter thats come with the visa info, it says u have to attend the emabssy u told them in ur interview....so if uve already said london then u cnt go to belfast.

niki-you live in liverpool? me to-what programme you doing-the summer one or the year long-when u goin?

And yes, it would be so much easier for me to go to Belfast as well-the flight is less than an hour and id imagine Belfast isnt that hard to get around compared to London

On the DS 156 form, it asks "have you ever been in the US" and "Have u ever had a VISA" and add all additional information. I've been to florida loads, so do I have to give all information, and exact dates ect??

In Grand central i live in the building over looking Lime street-its a pain, every morning you get woken up at 6.30 by "the 6.40 train to sheffield is now boarding"-no need for alarm clock lol
