God, I'm so glad I have a nice head of school at uni, they're having to send the letter home to me now! I would say all this hassle better be worth it... but it's Disney, so of course it will be :p :D (I hope...)

Don't worry about it..its easy really..they know your not going to cause trouble..they know if disney accept you as an employee, that you've gotta be an honourable citizen anyway..

If there are any problems with ya pic dont worry theres a photo booth in the embassy so if the worse should happen! I dont think they like to waste an appointment so you can quickly take the pic then! Take a book or a magazine but i got so paranoid i'd miss my number that i just sat there watching the numbers and chatting to a lady that was going to work as a teacher over there. Its a boring day but when they tell you your visas approved its fab and worth the wait! x x x

Hey does anybody know of anyone who has had their visa application rejected? I'm soooo worried that will happen to me, after being accepted by Disney and everything.

youll be unlikely to be rejected if you have a firm job offer as we do, but if you do your up shit creek and quite simply your not going to florida

I think i knew of someone who was rejected last year. Think it was because he was caught underage drinking in the UK, and it went on his record, and obvously the US didnt want anyone they thought might break that rule going into america. ::)

theres nothing to worry about with the interview its literally 3 questions - where u goin, what u doin, how long u stayin, have a nice day! ur just standing at a window with people doin exactly the same next to u so its very informal and as long as u dont go in wearing a balaclava then then theres no probs!
u can have passport size pics but they want a certain amount of border space. bunac except pport pics but the prob with mine was that it finsihed directly on top of my head an they needed a few mm gap between the top of my head an the edge of the pic. fussy but true! i got sent the wrong way out of the embassy to find that pharmacy then got stuck in a queue behind a stupid american woman who was gettin a pic of her teeny baby taken an then started waving it in the baby's face an asking her if she liked it even tho she was fast asleep grrrrrrrrrrr

Something that proves you're going back to uni in September. So a proper letter with dates and stuff if you can, but Alexis said than anything like an e-mail, or if your university card has when your studying finishes on it (mine's got 'expires 2009' on it somewhere, for example) then that should be alright too. It's just proof that you're coming back here, really, I think, as opposed to hiding out in Cinderella's castle until the authorities give up on looking for you :p

I've just got an e-mail from the US embassy saying that my interview will be postponed if I take any electronic equipment into the embassy. Have they always said this, and really they'll just take a phone off me when I get there, or is this a new thing they're saying, and it's best to find a locker at the station to leave my phone in or something?

Well it had a load of stuff in, basically reiterating what they said on the phone, but that was in there too... guess I should take some spare change for a locker or something then!!

the guy on the phone when i made the appointment said to me to leave my phone in a locker at the station, because they have nowhere that they use to store peoples electrical stuff.
how long after you made the appointment did you get the appointment letter and receipt or whatever it is they send you that you have to take with you? i havent got mine yet and i made the appointment a few days ago. they sent me confirmation of payment but nothing else.

I got the receipt straight away. I didn't get that e-mail about taking my phone, etc, until today and my appointments on Tuesday, so only a few days in advance. It's just a reminder of everything that needs to be done/ that was said on the phone though :)
