IMPORTANT! VISAS FOR SEPT 11TH!

the 4th would be fine for the 11th for belfast as they send it special delivery which is next day delivery - the sms people in london take a bit longer.

i had my visa appt on the monday and my visa was delivered (or they tried to deliver - i was out lol) on the friday so within 4 days. they say the extra time just to cover them. so long as royal mail doesnt have a strike on ull be fine!

and no u dont need any refs for ur visa. they recommend u take with u something to show ur coming back to the uk like a letter or something if have it but they never looked at anything like that for me.

 

Try London for cancellations, loads of us did this and got appointments for the next day, every day I phoned they had cancellations and London is sooo much easier thanf lying to Belfast. You need to phone in the mornings though coz the paperwork gets written up in the afternoons for next day. And you need to be prepared to go the next day ! It worked for me and I am now here in F&B !

Hey! though I am not from the UK just wanted to wish all you guys good luck with your visa stuff! Here In Italy we are almost in the same situation. scheduled to leave on the 28th and still no I797 from Disney....arghh!

 

Ive got an emergency appointment for next Tuesday, Aug 14th at 11am. Anyone else getting an emergency appointment should try for that day too and we could meet up. I arrive at Belfast at 7am and my flight home is 9pm.

 

wow that was lucky-I could only get the 4th Sept when I phoned today!! Doh! My appointment is at 9-45 am, I am having trouble finding an early flight....has anyone else got an early morning time /early flight for the 4th?

my mum and dad booked everything coz its their wedding anniversary so they decided to spend it in Belfast as i had to go any way so not sure wot i doin for the day but will def see you there!

Hi guys, I got my visa yesterday in london, it's really easy, just takes some patience! I was in the embassy for about 4 hours and was only speaking to embassy people for about 15 minutes, they were much nicer than i expected as well! If you can print off a couple of copies of the online form (ds156 i think) because loads of people had problems when they tried to scan the barcode on it. Good luck and see you on the 11th!

Has anyone been to Belfast before? Just wondered what its like!!

 

hi guys-I phoned the embassy today and they had a few cancellations for Belfast in August...I am now going on the 15th of August...phew!! If u wanna go in August then I would give them a ring today!!

 

well it this seems to have had an knock on effect, us guys going out on October 7th have been told to make our appointments today even though we haven't got our forms!!!

 

what does the DS156 form mean when it asks PLace of Issuance????
