Yes, that's totally normal. I'm really excited too but I know as the time draws closer I'll be getting more and more nervous. But it's exciting sort of nerves. You'll be fine And know that we're all in the same boat, experiencing the same things.

thats my appt at the embassy booked, so the next step is looming! One step at a time and b4 long we will be nervous about coming home!!!! :-\

Hey everyone!
It's ok to be nervous and afraid about all the changes and being away from everyone for a year. Just remember you will all be in the same boat! You will find so many friends so quickly. You will be homesick for one or two months and then you will just adjust to your new life and be happy.
It is an amazing experience and you will never ever regret going!
I wouldn't be so sure about the whole "your friends will be so happy to have you back" thing. They sorta move on, too. I had difficulties fitting in again, as I had pretty much missed a year of their life and they couldn't understand anything I had experienced. Disney will be all you want to talk about when you come back and your friends will become fed up with it pretty quickly. But you have enough time to worry about that later haha
