Hey Emma! Fellow Sept 23rd'er!
I think so far we're all booking to go from London, it's £302 I think, fully flexible if we need to change dates due to visa delays! There's a Virgin flight leaving from Glasgow at 11am, get's us in Florida for 3pm (ish.)

How's everyone getting on? I faxed back my acceptance but that's it so far. Am booking my flight when I get back from New York in May and will probably send off my CRB in the next few weeks. That's all we do for now though right? I'm not going to book the insurance for a few months to help spread the cost!

The times going quite quickly though, it seems like just yesterday I was getting the call and it was 6 months to go!

Facebook hates me, so I couldn't get in to our group.

I'm about to book my flight, and went onto sta and they're now offering the 11.05 BA flight for £185 (which is ridiculously cheap!) but when you click pay it goes up to 217... which still isn't bad. But I thought they weren't allowed to do that anymore? Advertise at one price and then up it on checkout? Anyway, that's not even my issue...(I don't think I have one, just general points, lol) How come the same flight is then offered at £195 and a bit further down £325??? Why? What's the difference? I'm just worried about booking the cheap one and then it turning out to not be the same flight as the one where it costs £325?? Even though it's the same time and company?

EDIT: I booked anyway because i'm really impatient... we do leave on the 23rd Sept right? lol At 11.05 from Gatwick? It's only £35 to change the flight if need be though which is pretty reasonable. Just hope it doesn't come to that! Now to find insurance..... *goes-a-googling*

wow yeah thats cheap!! Im not what to do about the insurance thing, i mean ive been looking at travel insurance which has medical cover in it but are we ok with that or do we have to have specific health insurance? Yeah i dont think we will hear back about our visas until at least another months time! so annoying!! xxxx

I got my e-ticket through today and had a little squeal! Then I got quite emotional over the fact that it's a one way ticket and it would mean 12 months without my friends! But that didn't last long, most of them will be visiting at some point! lol

Maybe there will be a few extra people... it shocked me at the interview that people had got as far as the interview without having ever heard of wdwip.com! It's insane!

 

lol. what day was your interview was it 5th march? i got my e-ticet today. im a bit sad about being away so long too, well cos i am away all summer so i already have a ataste of whats its like ebing away from my friends and its hard! i miss them soooo much! but im sure good times are ahead and we'll make lots of freinds, all in the same boat xxx

 

hey!1 i had my interviews in nov and found out in dec!!i applied for something different but they ran out of places or couldnt issue enough visas so they gave me this!!so i ive been counting down since before x-mas!!!lol I will only miss my friends and family not england or wat i do here!!! it makes it easier that we are legal to drink there too- makes t seem abit more normal for us haha!! every new peron i meet now i have to explain what my plans are for the nextyear!!lol and answer loads of questions!!! lol xxx

 

Yeah people ask me loads of questions too! I feel like im constantly explaining the same thing over and over lol! Worth it though! Im definately not going to miss england and what i do here, but like you said i will miss my friends and family! At least you all can drink, i must be the only person who wont be able to lol :-( owww. i really hope we are all living near by to each other though, otherwise i will be sad!

68! Yay! I get the questions all the time too, it's bad because where we work there's up to 100 new people coming in at a time and if they talk to my dad for more than 10 minutes then he tells them i'm off to Florida and then I get asked the same questions over and over again. They seem surprised that i'm not overly excited about it (which I am) but after the twentieth time in a day it just gets old!

I reckon we should be able to hire a people carrier taxi to get us to Vista, there's only 5 of us and 10 cases and several hand luggage bags.... hmm. I suppose if all else fails we can get on the coach, at least we'll be on it together!
