Just to answer the original question you wont get your disney id card until the saturday after you arrive so you wont be able to go to the parks until then.

on the wednesday youll have to be up early for an orientation class where you get your commons id which allows you to get on the buses and go to walmart etc in the afternoon, then on thursday youll go to the social security office to sort out your ss number and on the friday youll get your bank account sortd out. Then on saturday youll have traditions where you get your name tag and disney id so you can head to the parks after that!!

So on the wed-fri you cant get into the parks but you can go to downtown disney if you wanna feel that youre at disney!!! Hope that helps!!

I thought we got our id cards the day we arrived. I wanted to go and investigate the parks on my first day. soooo disappointed bout that.

but don't worry, there's so much you can do! downtown disney, the mall, ... ok, well, there's some things to do! ;D

the worst is the picture on your commons id, cause that they usually take right after you arrive there...all tired, all worn out!

Traditions are classes at Disney University, usually they teach you about Disney History and how you should treat guests and how u have to make them happy & a lot of things like that.
And the throw ins are the welcome ceremonies, usually varies from country to country but they are really fun. I think noone will they you what happens there. Its like a secret.

It might be different for you CP guys - maybe youll get your IDs straight away, I dont know!!

Traditions is a class that everyone has to do and everyone says its really boring but its not that bad, basicaly its all about the history of disney and disneys service expectations etc.

Its a long day and its depressing when youre sitting ina classroom and its s sunny outside but you can have a laugh as theres a vfew games when you can win things!!!!

As for throwins - no comment!!!!!!!!

yeah once we have visas approved we have to call disney anyway,,, theres supposed 2 b reps meetin us and takin us all together on bus

but casey and chris wana pick me up in hire car, so id rather some random guy didnt steal my luggage off me lol
