Awesomeness! Both schools I was considering going to haha, but I ended up at Ryerson! :)

It all sounds amazing - we should definitely do some kind of a facebook group/chat thing to get to know each other throughout all of this. Who knows - we could end up working together (we better haha - I hope you all get accepted!).

Ps.. I second TOT being amazing! Good luck Charlotte, I hope you get to go back there another year! :)

Also on the Yummy Jobs website, do I put my education as degree? Because I'm starting it in September so by the time applications close I'll be doing it but at the moment I've just finished my A levels...

    Hi guys!!

My name is Olivia and I just applied for the WDW ICP 2011 :)

It's my second time around, I applied for 2010 and got as far as the face-to-face interview, but didn't make it to Florida this summer. Now I'm back and hoping this will be my year, since it's my last chance as I'm a third year. It'll be worth missing graduation for if I get it!

So happy to find a place where I can talk to fellow applicants, I hope we make it to the place where dreams come true :)

    xxx

Yeah, I'd recommend saying "degree" disneyspike (if you already haven't). Even though you don't already have the degree, that's what you're studying for and I'm sure they'll know that based on your resume. Sorry I never got back to you via facebook, it never showed that I got a new message on my phone and that's the only place I check it! .. weird.

Olivia, that's awesome that you found this website! Where are you from/what roles are you hoping to get? Good luck, I hope you get to go this time!

Anyways, a little update on mine if anyone cares to know: I haven't submitted it officially yet because I'm in the process of interviewing with another company that would definitely add some more experience to my resume. I'll hear sometime next week, and submit my application then! :D

    Hi emmdee,

I'm from London, England and I'm hoping to get pretty much anything really! Last year I was hoping to be a Character Performer, which I would also be happy with this year, although having put a bit more thought into the roles I think I'd like to do something like working on the attractions or in one of the shops. In all honesty, I don't really care as long as I get to go! What about you, where are you from and what role are you hoping for?

Also if anyone has any questions about the telephone/face-to-face interview process I can be of service :D

Awesome, Olivia! I would love to be a character performer too (as I mentioned above).. Specifically face... I know I could be great friends with Alice if I can learn a proper British accent haha! I am just her height, and i look really young (a guy actually told me it was illegal for me to be working the other day, he told me he thought I was around 12-14.. I said no, I'll be 19 this year xD) not only that, but ive seen the movie a gajillion times and can definitely embody the character (i hope) But unfortunately that is really rare, so it's not going to be my first choice on the application. My first choice (although its my second) will be merch because I have the most experience in that and it would still be awesome to work there! But I would be just as happy with attractions, operations or pretty much any other role.

All that aside, that's awesome that you are from London! I've always wanted to go there, I live in Canada and unfortunately I've never had the chance.

Yeah character performer would be amazing, I put that down as my first choice on the form at my interview, but I fear that might has lessened my chances, as they like to give you your first choice...hmmmm. Also I was told that they only let ICP employees play 'Head' characters, like Mickey and Minnie? I think it's just because you'd have to interact with the public if you played a face character...I'm not 100% sure if they're strict about the head/face character thing though. I do know that you have to do a little audition though.
Yeah London is great, although I've been working there full time this summer, only 4 weeks so far but the tube and Topshop Oxford Circus (which is where I work) can be a nightmare at times. So crowded! One of my best friends moved to Canada last summer, but she didn't like it very much sadly, she was in Toronto for the whole of last summer before coming home for University. That's a bummer you've never been to London! I hope you can come one day. Have you been to Disney World before?
