Hmm I'm not sure? I definately need to add to mine, its very "minimalistic" at the moment... Who has everyone directed their cover letter too? I was wondering whether it should be to the yummy jobs team? I hate having to write "dear sir/madam", feels so generic! lol
Mine's four A4 pages. Lists my exam results blah blah blah and then my relevant experience in paragraphs, I have too much that I need to go into detail about to explain lol.
Aren't cover letters suppose to just highlight things??? Like one page summary/explanation of key points of your resume?
And thats a legit question.. I've never actually written one before. And do they care about school grades?
So I'm getting the feeling that 1 page should be the appropriate length for our CVs? Are people adding references to CVs, cos if so, theres no way mine wont be 2 pages? :\
Hi all ;D I sent off my application yesterday, not sure whether I'll get in because I haven't got much experience in anything (most of my experience is made up from the group projects which I've done at university) but I thought you have to be in it to win it so why not apply. Hope everyone gets accepted ;D
Cover Letters I think 1 page. + Resume of Max 2 pages + if references are needed 1 more page. So 4 pages all together but of all different things.
You're all stressing alot about the length. The way I see it the longer the better, more experience. Mine is 4 pages. One page of qualifications and the rest a detailed history of relevant experience. Tbh, mine was 4 pages last year, and I didn't get reprimanded for it, infact I ended up on the waiting list so there ya have it!
I've applied too, I'm so excited and nothing has even happened yet!! Just wondered when do the UK office reply to applications so i have an outline about when to expect any action???
That's awesome that you're applying, Dani.ve and h_wells280! Good luck to you both (and of course to everyone else who already has/will be applying!).. what roles are you hoping to get? Also, my guess would be that they will reply in September. Then they do phone interviews, and if you are successful you get a F2F (Face to face, if you don't know, which will only be in major cities so if you don't live near them you'd have to travel) which I think for you guys should be around November/December? At least, that's what I've heard. I could be wrong...this is my first time applying and I'm from Canada to boot. If I am, someone can gladly correct me! Ahh, 9 days till applications open in Canada! The summer days are going by so fast here...
I'm applying for next yearrr!!! I worked there last year in Attractions on the Tower of Terror and loved every minute <3 It's so exciting to think about it. Where does everybody want to work? Sorry if you've already said, I haven't been through all of the previous pages
thanks emmdee! i'm from canada too - toronto. honestly i would be happy to take any role they offer me - but i think attractions, merch., or food&bev. are my top picks.
:O No way Dani! I'm from there too! Well, actually, I'm a little farther away now for the summer (not by much though, it's only a short go bus ride away), but I go to school there, and come September will be living there again. What uni do you go to, if you don't mind me asking? And attractions and merch are two of my top picks too, although my ultimate dream is character performer (specifically face, but I know that's really rare so it's probably not going to be listed as my top pick even though it is, haha... I'm not getting my hopes up too much for that one!) That's awesome Charlotte that you're applying again... you must be having tons of fun out there right now, good luck! Are you going to go for the same role, or a different one this time? 5 days and counting until everything starts... eeek! It's a long process, but so worth it.
