ICP Summer 2011 !

Wow 2 weeks ! I cant wait to hear back! Oh and thanks for the heads up, I never really check my junkmail!
When did you have your face to face interview?! And have you heard back!?

 

im from Ottawa too! haha. but I'm currently studying at the University of Guelph. I wonder if theres anyone else applying from Guelph? Can't wait for my f2f, I think about it everydaaay I just want to have it NOW!! I can't picture myself not working at Disney next summer, that's what I always talk about; like "yeah when I'm at disney next year..." etc etc

 

Christeen44 - No problem! My face to face interview is in the New Year. We all go at the same time and meet up in 1 city. During the phone interview they said we would probably have a choice between Toronto or Montreal but it's not confirmed yet. So all us Disney fanatics are packed into one place. I can only imagine the excitement.

Kerbear - I know! I can't stop thinking about it either. I hope we all get to go next summer because we all want it so badly.

ahh i'm so jelous of you Canada lot!

i probably have at least a month before I hear anything! i keep getting excited about it and then I have to stop myself because I don't want to get my hopes up....

I know ive been doing the same and i just applied 2 days ago! when did you send your application !?

 

I applied at the end of June.... you think that if I'd waited 3 months already I could last an extra few weeks but no.... have reached my limit! I#m usually a very paitient person but when it comes to Disney......

Oh myy! :O 3 months ! Did they tell you why its taking so long!? Dont they usually say 4 to 6 weeks!?

 

well for some reason applications in the UK opened insanely early this year- when I applied the first time they opened in september. They are also closing really late too- October 25th which is really odd because when I applied for 09 I had already had my telephone interview and had my f2f date by then. YJ didn't really give us a time period when we expect to hear. The only reason I can think of why its taken so long is the CRP interviews which I think are going on now... i think YJ have to sort out the UK CRP stuff before they can start on the ICP (Wow that was a lot of abbreviations )

ahhh i just want to know when my telephone interview is so I can have something to look forward too/dread

If you come to Ontario we're doing pretty good lately. somewhere between hot and cold. Not a lot of rain. aka PERFECTION

Now i miss disney even more! ... Exactly a month ago today I left disney !

 

i left Disney just over a month a go too but that was only Disneyland Paris- I went twice this summer to make up for a lack of Florida in my life. Totally not the same! My Florida blues were worse than ever this year and usually I only get them when I've got back from Florida! Oh and Disneyland Paris has neither splash mountain or kali river rapids just a LOT of rain!

On the bright side.....(uk people might be interested in this) I had an e-mail from Hannah at Yummy Jobs (only because I sent her a question so don't panic) and she said they were starting to review applications so fingers crossed we might hear soon! Made my day!

I have only been to Disney in Flordia. But many many times... Ive been 3 times in the past year haha ! Last september, last january and this past august... Thats how addicted I am.!!

Yay!! Hopefully you hear from them soon , and me too haha!

 

don't worry fleur_charms I'm sure you'll get a phone interview! I assume because you're on this forum you're passionate about the programme and I bet that shines through in your application which means it would be shocking if they said no this early on!

i wish i could go 3 times a year! Stupid Atlantic Ocean. I've only been 3 times in my life though 4 if you include when I was a cast member there. It's my dream to go to WDW for christmas but I've only ever been in summer. I think once you've been to Florida no Disney park quite compares. California was pretty nice but Florida ruined Paris for me. It's better than no Disney but I spent my whole time going round saying 'well in florida they do x y and z better'

Oooh wow I've been neglecting these boards. Hello I'm Olivia from the UK and I'm back again
I am majorly getting impatient for the emails about the phone interviews, been thinking about it all summer long and ahh i can't wait any longer!!!! When I applied last year I got my email confirming that I was through to the telephone interview stage on 21st September. Do you think they won't tell anyone anything until after the closing date?

 

Hi Olivia! I know the feeling- I can't wait any longer too! It is really weird that applications close so late this year! I just think I'd feel better if I at least knew something. Florida seems so far away right now
I really hope we don't have to wait until the 25th October but I suppose its a possibility. However, I reckon there is a possibility that they will send us some news in the next few weeks- they might not wait until the closing date. In 09 I know people had their telephone interviews before I even applied so they must have heard before the closing date. I e-mailed Hannah from Yummy Jobs yesterday asking a question and I quote: "We’re actually reviewing applications now so hope to be able to start responding to people very soon" Sounds hopeful

Anyway.... where in the UK are you from? do you know what role you want to go for?

Hey becca, I'm from London but currently studying in Portsmouth. I applied for ICP last year and got as far as the face to face interviews but sadly didn't get a place, so this is my last chance what with it being my final year. Fingers crossed!
I'm pretty much interested in any role on offer, although preferable character performer, character attendant or I suppose I have the most experience in shop work so merchandising. Also wouldn't mind operations. But yeah as I say I'm up for absolutely anything really, i just want to go!
Hope we will hear something soon, I'm thinking maaaybe by the end of this month? With any luck! xxxxxx
