Just not allowed to use the word black - the council took the view that it's racist but that is absolutely ridiculous! It is called a blackboard because it is a black board lol! I was told it was changed from baa baa black sheep as it singled out minority groups - madness! I know some schools sing 2 verses black and white which i think is the best option Political correctness has gone mad!!
I work within the civil service and we can't say black coffee, it's now 'coffee without milk'. But it's still ok to say white coffee. Crazy
well i feel its racist to say white....i dont but you catch my drift. i was taught it was black shee because there are few of them and they give differnt wool which is special. so i dont understnad the whole singling out thing. plus they could see it as offensive for taking it out...white supremacy.
I think it's racist for someone to decide what all black people consider to be racist. Surely it's down to the individual?
When we were discussing ethnic minority groups in america in modern studies, we refered to Blacks as Blacks because that is what they preferred, so i dont see why its a problem over here!

I had never realised that Noddy had been banned. I can remember working in a nursery and the children always got confused when we sang baba white sheep rather than baba black sheep. I think in the end we just gave up apart from when OFSTED where there.
see i was told saying "coloured" was un PC. its so confusing now a days! the thing that gets me about the christmas things is its our national holiday. otehrs should accpet it. yes we accept theres but its always going to be a big thing here becuase of the dominant religion.
Everything is just being contradicted nowadays, and yes Freckles, Christmas is our national holiday and no one should be able to stop us from celebrating it. How would people coming from other countries like it if we didnt allow then in without being able to speak english or something like that, they wouldnt like that, and we are not like that because we respect their beliefs and choice, but they should not interfer with our beliefs and celebrations.
Plus also, I think you'll find we were all subjected to this apparent 'brainwashing' and I think you'll find we came out alright (if slightly mad on Disney!)
