Can't say I envy your position - must be a tough decision to make.

You're not crazy, You will have other opportunities like this available to you in the future, and you can always apply for the program again.

It would be hard to keep a relationship out here - I've seen many people succumb to the distractions out here, so I reckon you made the right decision. Whatever makes you happiest should be your prime concern.

What do you think would happen if you decided to leave before the year was done?
I am really confused right now.
My boyfriend and I have been on and off for 4 years and as things are going better than ever I have to leave.
He cryed to me all night last night about me leaving and I know that me leaving is going to kill him.
Maybe I can go and maybe leave half way thru or something.
I guess we will have to see what happens.

 

I know my boyfriend doesnt want me to go but i know he supports me 110% - hes knows its something i want to do and he knows he cant get in the way - i agree with emma if were meant to be together we will! - we both know its going to be hard but at the same time im not willing to risk losing him by ending it for a year - hes coming out to see me when im there so hopefully all will be good for me?!

and to the ppl who are saying they are having laods of fun being single - thats fair enongh that your having fun that way, but some ppl choose to be in relationships and are much happier for it - i dont think because u have a bf or a gf that u will have any less fun out there!! ;D

If I was going to leave before the year is gone...this will be because I miss my boyfriend too much and don't have any fun being in disney when I'm not with my boyfriend...but I do think this year is gonna be filled with so much fun, that the year will blow away and I don't get the chance to miss anyone But seriously, if I feel that things are felling apart, like the phonecalls being fewer and shorter and that we're allways arguing when we talk, then it's time to think what I wanna do. Hopefully we'll make it through the year, and I don't want to regret later on for not have tried this. Anyway, he's gonna come and visit me through the year, so it's not like we're gonna be away from eachother a whole year. If it's true love, we'll still be together when I go back home

I also agree, even though I know how it is to be in love and to have to leave that guy. Still I think Disney is a one time opportunity. Luckily I've never been in that position to decide whether I go or not and basically everybdy has to decide for themselves what's right. I know couples who "survived" the year and some who didn't.
